Entered Military service on 19 September 1917. He sailed on"Metagama" on 8 August 1918 and sighted land on 19 August, NorthChannel, Coast of Ireland. Went to England and France. Returned on"USS South" to Newport News, VA. Discharged at Camp Lee, VA on 19 June1919. 317 Field Artillery.
