Death: Dec. 10, 2000 Lillian Laura Mabry, 89, of Denton, died Sunday, December 10, 2000, at her home. Mrs. Mabry was born June 22, 1911, in Denton, to Doc Solomon and Laura Ann (Faulkner) Carpenter. She married Claud Mabry May 7, 1933, in Denton. She retired from nursing at Flow Hospital. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 3 pm Tuesday, December 12, 2000, at Highland Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Bailey, the Rev. Dale Osteen, and the Rev. Eddie Shafer officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Cemetery in Denton. Visitation will befrom 7 to 8 pm tonight, Monday, December 11, at the funeral home. Survivors include her daughter, Claudine McCurley and husband Herb of Denton; three grandchildren, Lori Barthold and husband Ardel of Valley View, Vince McCurley of Dallas, and Zelda Loyd of Ponder; and two great grandchildren, Preston Barthold and Avery Barthold both of Valley View. Mulkey Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
