Charles Royce "Skip" Carpenter was born February 23, 1932 , in Sage, the son of John Wesley Carpenter and Lela Elizabeth Bone Carpenter, the youngest of four childern. He graduated from Melbourne High School in 1949 and continued his education graduating from Arkansas College, Batesville in 1958. He was a high school principal at Williford and taught at Floral, Batesville and Gideon , Missouri junior high schools. He was a baseball player and coached the Batesville American Legion baseball team to the 1975 state championship. He was a member of the Sage Baptist Church, and served his country in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Sage Baptist Church .
Skip married Marion Sue Davidson, December 18, 1954 and the couple were parents of four children, David Lee, James Mark, Timothy Gayle, and Carol Ann.
He was laid to rest in Findley Creek Cemetery, Sage, Arkansas.

Alice J (Wancket) Carpenter was born on August 23, 1935 in Warren, Michigan, the daughter of Alidor Wancket and Valerie (Verougstraete) Wancket.
She was married to William F "Bill" Carpenter ( -1995), was a homemaker and moved to Clarksville, Tennessee in 1966. She enjoyed eating out, working puzzles and was a fan of traditional country music.
Alice was 80 years old when she passed away at home in Clarksville on Saturday May 14, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers Robert Wancket, Willie Wancket and Omer Wancket; and by grandchildren Brandon Dixon and Jennifer Dixon. Survivors included two married daughters; a brother; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held at the Chapel of Gateway Funeral Home, and burial was in Fairview Cemetery in Indian Mound.

CARPENTER, Essie Mae Huffstetler, age 87, departed this life on August 26, 2003, 30 years to the day of her deceased husband, Roscoe Carpenter. She was a member of Binfield United Methodist Church.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Della Wilson Huffstetler; brothers, Eli, Leonard, R.C., Press, and Rufus; sisters, Trula Giffin, Etta B. Harris and Ruby Clark; son-in-law, Floyd Porter.
Survivors include: children, Evelyn Porter of Maryville, Peggy and Bud Downey and Allen and Judy Carpenter; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lee A. Hokaj and Rev. Toby Downey officiating. Family and friends met at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Carpenters Cemetery for the interment service.

Gertrude Moore Carpenter went home to her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at Blount Memorial Hospital as a result of a fall and heart attack. A resident of Asbury Retirement Center, she enjoyed crafts, rook and bingo with many dear friends. Her family was early settlers in Middlesettlements and Miser's Station. She was a 1937 graduate of Friendsville High School, a member of the district championship basketball team and an avid Lady Vols fan. She was a member of St. John United Methodist Church and Naomi Circle.
Mrs. Carpenter was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Ralph Carpenter; parents, Grinnell and Gertrude Miser Moore; sisters, Jessie Morton, Tillie Anderson, Kittie Quillen and Edith Moore.
She will be sadly missed by son and wife, David and Sandra Carpenter of Ooltewah, TN; grandsons, Nathan and wife Jamie Carpenter of Ooltewah, TN, Aaron Carpenter, U. S. Navy Seabees.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard D. Mullan officiating. The interment will follow in Middlesettlements Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. Saturday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John United Methodist Church, 2201 E. Broadway, Maryville, TN 37804.

Louise Roberson Carpenter, 90, of Seneca, S.C., wife of the late George Dickerson Carpenter, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Lila Doyle Nursing Home. Born in Maryville, Tenn., Mrs. Carpenter was the daughter of the late Cole and Mamie Hall Roberson. She was a homemaker and member of Hepsibah Baptist Church.
Survivors include son, Wilford G. Carpenter (Renee) of Seneca; daughter, Judy L. Campbell (John) of Seneca; brothers, Don Roberson of Texas, Jimmy Roberson of Tennessee; sister, Donna Bowerman of Tennessee; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the staff at Lila Doyle and Oconee Hospice for their care. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Carpenter was predeceased by brothers, Junior Roberson, Elmo Roberson and Cecil Roberson; and sisters Thelma Vanmeter and Edith Lyneger.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, 2014, at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel, Walhalla, S.C. Visitation will be from 2-3:30 p.m. on Sunday prior to the service. The graveside committal will take place at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 17, 2014, at Oconee Memorial Park, Seneca, S.C. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to OMC Hospice of the Foothills, 298 Memorial Drive, Seneca, SC 29672, or to the Widows Ministry of Hepsibah Baptist Church, 1304 Friendship Rd., Seneca, SC 29678. The family will be at respective homes.

Mary Audine Carpenter age 96 of maryville passed away Monday December 28, 2015 at Kindred Health Care.
She was preceded in death by her husband J.D. Carpenter.
She is survived by her daughters, Carol Andrew and Jeannine Bryant. Son and daughter in law, James and Hilda Carpenter, and son Jeffrey Carpenter. Five grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.
The family and friends will meet at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Carpenters Cemetery for a graveside service with Rev. George Macht officiating.

Mr. Browder “Fa-Drew” Hutson, Jr., age 71, of Barnesville, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 in Lamar County. Mr. Hutson was the son of the late Mr. Browder Fa-Drew Hutson, Sr. and the late Mrs. Rosa Jewelle Hutson. Mr. Hutson was preceded in death by his Wife: Mrs. Norma Jean Carpenter Hutson. He was a member of the Milner United Methodist Church and a retired Material Planner for Delta Airlines.
Mr. Hutson is survived by his Son: Browder Jeffery Hutson and his Wife, Young of High Falls; Daughter: Angela Fa Farr and her Husband, Michael of Barnesville; Sister: LaVerne Hutson Duck of Oak Ridge, TN.; Brother-In-Law: Tim Bailes and Wife Jo; Sister-In-Law: Kaye Carpenter and Husband Wendell; Grandchildren: Jessica Michelle Farr, Drew Michael Farr, Elizabeth Rose Hutson, Tia Ann Hutson, and Laura Jean Hutson; Great-Grandson: Savory Ike Brown. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.
Funeral Services for Mr. Browder “Fa-Drew” Hutson, Jr. will be conducted on Saturday, June 20th at 11 AM in the Chapel of McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home in Maryville, TN. with visitation for one hour prior to the service time. Interment will follow in Carpenter’s Campground Methodist Church Cemetery.
A visitation will also be held at Williams Funeral Home in Barnesville on Thursday, June 18th between the hours of 7 and 9 PM.
