Robert "Bob" Carpenter, 71, passed away peacefully Monday, March 25, 2013, at his home. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Thursday in Bourland Cemetery, Keller. Visitation: Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation for Robert 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at J.E. Foust & Son Funeral Home, 523 S. Main, Grapevine. Robert was born June 15, 1941, in Fort Worth to Robert Bunyon Carpenter and Bessie Kilpatrick Carpenter. Robert was the second oldest of five children. He grew up in Roanoke and attended Northwest High School, graduating in 1959. He married Sheila Bishop in Las Vegas, Nev., in December 1961. They had two children. He was a resident of Benbrook for approximately five years. He retired from Procter & Gamble as a machine mechanic/ electrician after 25 years. He enjoyed his granddaughter Audrey, genealogy and gardening. He was preceded in death by a sister, Maryannette, who died as an infant, and brother, Billy Charles. Survivors: Robert will be remembered by his son, Rob Carpenter, his wife, Linglin, and their daughter, Audrey; his daughter, Carrie Kovarsky, her husband, Jeff, and their daughter, Marselle. He is also survived by his sisters, Margaret Proffitt and Deb Bolling and her husband, Kenneth; Margaret's children, Jeff, Paul and Patrick Proffitt and their families; and Deb's children, James, Joanna, Seth and Brian Bolling and their families.
