QUESTION: Could this be the same Mattie Linn as RIN 1867? Probably not if she were Asahel's granddaughter. Yet Ashel or Asahel lived in the same area as Samuel Linn in 1850. Samuel Linn had the other Mattie Linn, RIN 1867, as a granddaughter. NOTE: There is also a Mattie Winona Linn, b 13 Mar 1877, Marion Co, dau of Hugh R. Linn and Maria or Mariah E. John (the father) married Lydia Caroline Porter and had son Jack.
