There were TWO Darwin J. Carpenters!  One was born in 1803 and married Emmeline Williams on 31 Jan 1826.  The one who was born in 1827 did NOT marry Emmeline Williams as noted in the Carpenter Memorial.  The one born in 1827 had parents John & Polly.

DEATH:  12 Aug 1863 per the Carpenter Memorial.  This is the death date for John Carpenter the father.  This is interesting.  Did they die of the same dates?   Ot is this a typo?  Or did he die in the Civil War?  Many questions!
This Darwin J. appears in the 1880 US Census!
