He was a very active man.  He was caught the Gold Fever in 1849 and sailed on
1 Feb 1849 on the steamer "Falcon" via the isthmus of Panama.  He arrived on 5
July 1849 on the ship "Niantic" from Panama.  He stayed until June 1851 when he
returned to New York City.
In 1852 he entered into a Wall Street career and associating with Isaac Kip.
In 1856 he became connected with the Stock Firm Trevor & Colgate. Which later
became the well known banking house of James B. Colgate & Company with was
prominate in 1901.
In 1865 he joined the New York Stock Exchange.  For over 50 years he has been
associated with the affairs of Wall Street.
Alive in 1901. More in the above book.

RESIDENCE: Elizabeth Carpenter Fisher resided in NEW CASTLE, WESTCHESTER
COUNTY, NY 1900.
!DEATH: ELIZABETH died 07AUG1931 in OSSINING, WESTCHESTER, NY, at 87 years
of age. Obituary of Elizabeth Fisher was found in the Citizen Sentenil
(spelling? Sentinal?) of Ossining, Saturday, August 8, 1931.
"Mrs. Elizabeth Fisher, the wife of the late Seth Fisher,
died at her home on Croton Dam Road yesterday afternoon at the
age of eighty-eight. She had been active until about a year ago.
Mrs. Fisher was born in Ossining, the daughter of the late
Aaugust Carpenter and Susan Carpenter.  She was a member of the
Highland Avenue Methodist Episcopal Church.
The survivors include a son, the Rev. O. D. Fisher of
Syracuse, two brothers William of Bellair, Long Island and
Oscar Carpenter of State Street, Ossining, 14 grandchildren, 15
greatchildren, and one great great grandchild."
BURIAL: Her body was interred AFTER 07AUG1931 in OSSINING,
WESTCHESTER, NY, DALE CEMETeRY.  Buried in Section 1, Lot 36 of
Dale Cemetery.
