His obituary said he was 53 yrs. 25 days at the time of death.  He came to Stockton with his parents in 1909 and lived there the rest of his life, except for his Navy duty.  . . .survived by widow Doris of the home, a daughter, Mrs. Mayanne Lentz of Henderson, Kentucky, a son, James W. of the U.S. Navy, San Diego, CA, a son-in law and a daughter-in-law and 4 grandchildren, his father, Wallace W. of Muncie, Indiana, a sister, Mrs. Lee Lambert of Salina .

Of Grand Island, Neb. at father's death in 1934.  Of Albuquerque, N. Mexico in Sept 1942 when her mother died.

OBITUARY:  Edith Louise Allen was born December 26, 1911, at Stockton, Kansas to Ben and Jessie Allen and departed this life  on June 1, 1945, at St. Joseph's hospital in Albuquerque, N. M., having attained the age of 33 years, 5 months and 5 days.  She was preceded in death by her father on August 14, 1934, and by her mother on August 19, 1942.    Adith attended the Stockton public schools.  She was an honor student and was graduated with the class of 1930.    She was married to Danton G. Rea August 7, 1930, and to the union was born one son, Truxton All.  After living in California and Arizona for short periods of time, they established their home in Albuquerque in 1939.  Here, Edith was employed by the Walgren Drug Store and was fountain manager for the past two years, being forced to quit work May 5, 1945.       She leaves to morn her passing, Pvt. Danton G. Rea. U. S. Army Air Force Band, now stationed in Alamagordo, N. Mexico; her son, "Pat," of Albuquerque, N. M.; one sister, Mrs. Opal Hamilton, of Stockton; and three brothers, Lt. Charles B. Allen, U. S. Navy, Virginia Beach, Va.; John E. Allen, of Stockton; and St. William A. Allen, U. S. Army, Camp Carson, Colo.; and other relatives and friends.  Interment was in the Allen family lot in the Stockton Cem. Wednesday, June 6.

29202. Charles Bentley Allen

In the Navy and of the USS Dobbin, located at Provincetown, Mass. in 1934 at the time of his father's death.  At Pear Harbor, Hawaii as an aviation pilot at his mother's death in Sept 1942.

In "Lest We Forget", copyrighted 1980 by the Rooks County Historical Society, Stockton, Kansas,  said Charles lives in Stockton, Kansas.

"Charles Bentley (Chuck) All, born May 8, 1913 at Stockton to Ben and Jessie (Wentz) Allen, died July 5 at the Hadley Medical Center in Hays as the result of complications following surgery.    He enlisted in the United State Navy at Kansas City, Mo., August 17 1933, and served on the U. A. A. Ranger, U. S. S. Dobbin and was a pilot instructor at Pensacola, Fla.  He received a medical discharge in 1950 and returned to Stockton with his family.  He opened the Round-Up, catering mostly to younger folks, and also established the Recreation Parlor.  He was also a parts man at the M. A. Touslee Motor  and was employed more recently by the Jones Motor   He was a member of the Congregational Church and Silver Eagle, an organization for enlisted naval pilots, and was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.  He had many friends and will be remembered for numerous unobtrusive acts of kindness.    He is survived by two sons, Mike of Windsor, Mo., and Larry of San Antonio, Tex.; a daughter, Susan Hassett of Eugene, Ore., a sister, Mrs. Leon (Opal) Hamilton of Stockton; and two brothers, Joh of Lindsay, California, and Bill of Fort Worth, Tex;, eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mrs. Danton (Edith) Rea. . . . ."
