OBITUARY.  Otsego County Herald Times, Gaylord, MI Thursday, Mar 15, 1973. Funeral services for William E. Widrig, Jr., 55, of Gaylord were held Wednesday from the Walker-Bates Funeral Home with Elder Ted Engel Jr. officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cem., Gaylord.  Mr. Widrig died Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Ann Arbor.  He was born July 11, 1917, in Bendon. He later married Margery M. Broadbent on May 13, 1938, in Gaylord.  He was the manager of the Fochtman Motor Company Store.  Mr. Widrig was a veteran of World War Two and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.  He was a 12-year veteran of the Gaylord Fire Department.  He was also a former member of the Gaylord City Commission and the Gaylord City Planning Commission.  He is survived by his wife, a son, Kim, and two daughters, Lyla Nalayne and Kelley Sue, all of Gaylord and one grandchild.  Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Helen Jensen of Gaylord, and Flora Vandenberg of Grayling.

OBITUARY.  Gaylord Herald Times, Gaylord, MI Thursday, June 6, 1985.  Mrs. Margery M. Widrig, 63, died Friday, May 31, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.  Mrs. Widrig was born in the Otsego Lake area on March 9, 1922, and was a resident of Gaylord most of her life.  She was a member of the American Cancer Society, the Zonta Club of Gaylord and a past officer of the Otsego Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.  She was married to William E. Widrig, who preceded her in death on March 10, 1973.  Surviving are: one son, Kim Widrig, of Gaylord; two daughters, Kyla Fry and Kelly Rollins of Virginia Beach, VA; her mother, Iola Broadbent of Grayling; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Elaine Bobenmoyer of Grayling, Dora Lou Southern of Virginia Beach, VA. Funeral services were held Monday at 10 a.m. from the Nelson Funeral Home with the Elder Ted Engle Jr officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cem..

The Athens Times.  Thursday, November 20, 1929.  A four generation party took dinner at the home of E. P. Simmons Sunday.  Those present were Mr. Simmons' sister, Mrs. Flora Guthrie who resides with him, Rose Russell of Lansing, Mrs. Gladys Sessman of Jackson and the latter's daughter, Phyllis Jean.

Some information was received Dec 1997 from Eloise Stormshak, Battle Creek.  It was sent to her by Gladys' daughter, Phyllis Jean Sessman Moe, of Kalamazoo.

OBITUARY.  Battle Creek Enquirer, 19 Oct 1965.  Jack William Kewley, 52, of 76 Magnolia Ave., died today at 4 a.m. in a local hospital where he had been a patient for a week.  An autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of death.  A resident of Battle Creek most of his life, he was bornm Feb. 8, 1913 in Bad Axe, son of H. Clare and Austa Swensen Kewley.  He was a graduate of the Battle Creek Academy and of Argubright Business College.  Mr. Kewley had been a machinist with Grand Trunk Western Railroad  for 16 years and had worked for six years before that for Eaton Manufacturing   Mr. Kewley and Ruth Robinson of Battle Creek were married in  1938 in LaGrange, Ind.  She survives in addition to three sons, Thomas of Portage and John and James at home; his father of Park Harbor, Fla. and one grandchild.

OBITUARY.  The Athens Times, Thursday, January 24, 1963.  East Leroy - Glenn E. Green, 48, of Route 1, East Leroy, owner and operator of the Greendale Dairy Farm died Jan. 17th at a Battle Creek hospital where he had been a patient for two weeks.  He had suffered from a heart ailment.  Mr. Green was born in Branch County, son of John E. and Ada (Callahan) Green and was married in 1933 to Merlah Spooner.  They had owned the Greendale farm for 17 years.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. William (Wanda) VanMiddlesworth of Rt. 1, Fulton, and Mrs. Gary (Wanetta) Pomeroy of East Leroy; a son, Ervin Green of Greendale farm; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Harold (Thelma) Kissinger of Route 1, (Paradise Road) Battle Creek, and Mrs. Frank (Ada) Briggs of 58 Boyd Dr., Battle Creek; three brothers, Elmer of 530 Marie Street, Battle Creek, John F. Green of Route 2, Battle Creek, 11640 M-78, and Hugh Green of W. Michigan Ave.  Funeral services were held at the Spencer Funeral Home on Monday afternoon with the Rev. Lewis Rigleman officiating with interment in the West Leroy Cem..

Wilton L. (Bill) Fry

OBITUARY.  Battle Creek Enquirer and News, Tuesday, Jan. 27, 1998, p. 4A. Wilton L. "Bill" Fry, 81, of East Leroy, died Sunday, Jan. 25, 1998, in Battle Creek Health System.  He was born April 8, 1916, to Wallace and Minnie (Rumbaugh) Fry in Leroy Twp., where he was a lifelong resident. He served in the U.S. Army from 1945 to 1946.  He was employed an an operating engineer at Eaton Corp. before serving in the Army, then worked for the International Brotherhood of Operating Engineers Local 324 from 1948 until retiring in 1974. He married Grace L. Romig on Dec. 5, 1940, in Bryan, Ohio.  She survives.  Also surviving are a son, Larry L. Fry of Fort Myers Beach, Fla.; and a brother, John Fry of Battle Creek.  He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Bobby, at age 3; brothers, Adrian, Elwood and Leonard Fry; and sisters, Martha Faye Fry and Morita VanMiddlesworth.  Services from Shaw Funeral Home on Thursday, Jan. 29, 1998.  Burial in Leroy Congregational Cem..

Delton - Francis Otis Seedorff, 43, of Delton died in the American Legion Hospital Monday morning where he had been a patient for one month.  Born in Bedford Twp., he was a farmer in the Marshall area most of his life. Surviviing are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles P. Mr. and Mrs. James Flanders of 7921 D Drive South, Ceresco, will observe their 40th wedding anniversary at an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Home Grange Hall on the corner of B Drive South and 9 1/2 Mile Road. Helen Louise (Seedorff) Flanders, 66, of Ceresco, died Sunday, April 9, 1995, in Eustis, Fla., after a long illness.  Mrs. Flanders was born Oct. 13, 1928, in Barry County to Charles and Reda (Bird) Seedorff.  She was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Marshall High School.  She was employed for 10 years at Kellogg  and also worked at Bill Knapp's commissary.  She was a member of the Newton United Methodist Church, Home Grange 129 and the International Coachman Club 256.  She enjoyed quilting, knitting, sewing and doing crafts. On May 14, 1948, she married James Flanders.  He survives.  They had wintered in Leesburg, Fla., since 1985.  Also surviving are sons, Steven Flanders of Highland Ranch, Colo., Roland Flanders of Battle Creek, Kenneth Flanders of Marshall, Dennis Flanders of Mukilteo, Wash., and William Flanders of Ceresco; a daughter, Diana Wagner of Ceresco; 15 grandchildren; and a brother, Allen Seedorff of Ceresco.  She was preceded in death by brothers, Francis, Calvin, Norman and Charles L. "Johnny" Seedorff; and a sister, Lola Seedorff. Visitation:  After 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home, Marshall.  Services:  11 a.m. Wednesday in Newton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles Shields officiating.  Burial:  Newton Cem.. Charles L. Seedorff is buried on Lot 60, Grave 3, Section C, Newton Cem.. The burial records show he had four wives: 1) Lucille Marshall; 2) Yvonne Willrich Hanchett; 3) Mary Rice and 4) Margaret VerHage.

"Johnny" Seedorff, 59, of 7520 Milo Road, and formerly of Marshall, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 1990, after being stricken at home.  He was born in Ceresco, and was a 1948 graduate of Marshall High School and he served with the Army during the Korean conflict.  He had farmed on Milo Road since 1962.  He was a member of Calhoun Draft Horses Association and had shown Belgian horses for many years.  He was a member of Michigan Farmers Hall of Fame and he attended Faith United Methodist Church, Delton.  Surviving are his wife, the former Margaret VerHage; daughters, Janice Greenman of Gillette, Wyo., Judy Seedorff of Toledo and Sally Seedorff of Kalamazoo; a son, Larry Seedorff of Delton; a stepdaughter, Pauline VanDis of Jackson and Shannon Girstz of Allegan; a stepson, Tim VerHage of Allegan; 10 grandchildren; his father,Charles P. Seedorff of Ceresco; a sister, Helen Flanders of Ceresco; and a brother, Allen Seedorff of Marshall.  His wife, Yvonne, and a granddaughter, Amanda Lynn Tennis, both died in 1981.  Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Faith United Methodist Church, Delton.  Arrangements by Williams Funeral Home, Delton. Donations may go to Michigan Farmers Hall of Fame or Faith United Methodist Church.

She was born near Marshall and resided in the area until moving to Delton four years ago.  She graduated from Marshall High School in 1952 and was employed as a cook by Leila Hospital from 1965 to 1980, when illness forced her retirement.  She attended Faith United Methodist Church.  Her first husband, Claude Hanchett, died in 1960.  She is survived by her husband, Charles L. Seedorff; a daughter, Mrs. Kim (Pauline) VanDis of Middleville; step-daughters, Mrs. Lynn (Janice) Greenman of Delton, Judy Seedorff of Toledo, Ohio, and Mrs. Glenn (Sally) Tennis of Delton; a stepson, Larry Seedorff of Delton; four grandchildren; her father, George Willrich of Tekonsha; and a brother, Herbert J. Willrich of Marshall.  Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Craig K.
