Leland A. Carpenter DOLGEVILLE — Mr. Leland A. Carpenter, 76, of 217 Sweet Hill Road, Dolgeville, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2001, in Little Falls Hospital after an extended illness. He was born in Fultonville on Aug. 26, 1924, the son of Charles and Flossie Hotaling Carpenter, and was educated in schools in Stratford. A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army with Company K 71st Infantry, from March 1943 until he was honorably discharged in October 1945 with the rank of PFC. He served in India and Burma and received the Asiatic Pacific Theater Medal/one Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal and the Presidential Unit Citation. Leland was married to the former Dolores Mae Hall on July 6, 1953, in Williamstown, Mass. He was employed by Rawlings-Adirondack Industries of Dolgeville as the Yard and Drykill Supervisor until his retirement due to his health. Memorial services for family members will be held on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001, at 11 a.m. at the Roberts-Buck Funeral Home, 3 Faville Ave., Dolgeville. Burial will be in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills, in the spring. There are no calling hours. Memorials may be made to the Hilltop Fire Department or to the Oppenheim Fire Department in his memory.

Ralph E. Carpenter, 71, of Sayre, Pa., passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at home, following an extended illness. He was born May 10, 1939, in Little Falls, the son of the late Clarence and Alma Smith Carpenter. Ralph served in the U.S. Army as an SFC for 20 years, having served three years in Vietnam. He loved Syracuse and Notre Dame basketball, was an avid golfer and enjoyed doing family genealogies. Ralph was a member of Shepherd Hills Country Club, Skiff Bower Post No. 1536 VFW, B.P.O.E. Lodge No. 1148, American Legion and Roma Madre Lodge No. 1342 Sons of Italy. He was predeceased by his brothers, John Claude and Robert Donald Carpenter, and his sisters, Bernice June Zaffarano, Clara Mae Braccini and Eunice Roberta Braccini. Ralph is survived by his wife of 52 years, Andrea Elizabeth (Papaleo), at home; two sons and their wives, Marque Lon and Anne Marie Carpenter, of Waverly, and Stephan Anthony and Linda Ann Carpenter, of Sayre, Pa.; daughter, Monique Leith Carpenter, of Sayre, Pa.; and is lovingly remembered by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Christian Everett Kovacs, Tiffany Laurel Kovacs-Dixon, Juliette Nicole Carpenter, Jessica Lynn Carpenter, Katlyn Catheryne Kovacs, Kaitlin Alicia Marie Carpenter, Liia Elizabeth Carpenter, Shane William Carpenter, Keilen James Carpenter, Kylan John Draper Carpenter, Tristan Kenyon Kovacs, Khloe Capri Kovacs and Tyler Eugene Dixon. He is also survived by two sisters, Blanche Arlene Guilboard and Karen Joanne Lorenzoni, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends and family may call on Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home, 225 S. Main St., Athens, Pa. A memorial service will follow at the funeral home at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Vincent Langan from Epiphany Parish officiating. Marque Lon Carpenter
Marque Lon Carpenter, 53, of Waverly, N.Y., passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at home following an extended illness.
He was born on July 28, 1959, in Little Falls, New York, the son of Ralph and Andrea (Papaleo) Carpenter.
Marque served in the US Air Force as a Military and Civilian Paramedic/Crash Rescue Firefighter for almost 20 years.
He loved hockey and drum corps and enjoyed doing family genealogies.
He is predeceased by his father Ralph (Bubby) Carpenter, grandparents Clarence and Alma Marshall Carpenter, and James and Grace (Chamberlain) Papaleo.
Marque is survived by his wife of 16 years Anne Marie (Hibbs); children Juliette, Jessica, Kaitlin, Keilen, and Kylan; brother Steve (and wife Linda) Carpenter; sister Monique Carpenter; nieces Tiffany and Katlyn Kovacs, Brittany and Elicia Voortman, Lindsay Hibbs, and Liia Carpenter; and nephews Christian Kovacs, Austin and Cameron Hibbs, and Shane Carpenter.
A private memorial service will be held at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Athens, Pa. A memorial service open to all will be held at the Waverly Inn, 202 Chemung Street, Waverly, New York on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers please, memorial donations may be made in Marque’s name to the American
Cancer Society, 1948 East Third Street, Williamsport, PA 17701.
