4344. Herbert Morrison Carpenter

Number 522-5 in Timothy Carpenter's Descendants.
Herbert and members of his family are mentioned in various Harmony Twp. census
records beginning in 1850.  The 1880 census includes a William CARPENTER, age
36, in his household.  Herbert owned a 35-acre farm and specialized in hay and
grain.  Gravestones were in good conditions in 1966.

"28 May 1866, deed to Morrison Carpenter regarding property on Teal Hill ...
From byron Teal and Jane Beddo, by their attorney, and their residence is given
as Cheshire, County Allegan, MI ..."  Jane Beddoe was Morrison's aunt.

!AKA "GERTIE" on her gravestone which was in good condition in 1966.
She is mentioned in the 1890 census of Harmony Twp.
Buried in her father's plot.


6433. Dorothea Eliza Carpenter

Number 1011-6 in the Timothy Carpenter book.
Dorothea and her husband Earl had no children.  They resided at Scio, NY in
1966.


4346. 4 Carpenter

Number 524-5 in Timothy Carpenter's Descendants.
This daughter (name not ledgible) and an Earl were mentioned in her
Grandfather Israel's (52) will, dated Sept. 27, 1862 and codicil thereto dated
July 6, 1872.  Copy on file in the Courthouse at Mayville, NY.

4347. Emiline Cordilia Carpenter

Number 525-5 in the Timothy Carpenter book.
!There are various recorded spellings of Emiline's first and middle names.Like
her mother she went by her middle name, Cordilia.  She and members of her
family are mentioned in various census records of Harmony Twp., beginning in
1850.  She is also mentioned in an 1861 school list.  There is a photo of her
in the compiler's (of the Timothy Carpenter Book) files.
The cemetery she was interred in is sometimes called, by this family,
"Sherman-Mesick", or "Sherman-Mesick Memorial Park", or the Antioch Cemetery.


Eli Langdon Gates

Eli was a Civil War veteran, having served in Company A, 112th NY
Infantry.  Gravestones were in good condition in 1966, as reported by
granddaughter Mrs. Gladys Edwards who was then residing in Mesick.

4348. Lucian Adelbert Carpenter

Number 526-5 in the Timothy Carpenter book.
Lucian reportedlly walked out on his family and never returned.


6441. Glen Adelbert Carpenter

Number 1019-6 in the Timothy Carpenter book.
One record indicates death date as 14 Jan 1952.


6442. Hallis Carpenter

Number 1020-6 in the Timothy Carpenter book.
Buried in lot 21.  A 12 by 24 inch bronze marker was installed in 1974 by his
brother Gerald.  This marker replaced a deteriorated stone marker which was in
poor condition in 1966.


4349. Dewitt Maynard Carpenter Rev.

Number 527-5 in the Timothy Carpenter book.
DeWitt was a Free Methodist Minister.  Rev. Carpenter said in a letter that he
and his wife had worked together in the ministry for 57 years before she died.


Viola Lucille Pilling

Viola was a daughter of Henry & Emma Pilling.  One record says there were wed
at Matthews Run.  She had three sisters and a brother; Sarah, Martha, Ellen
Pearl, Etta & Edmond.  A niece note (re D. Carpenter) records that Viola had
one of the sweetest voices ever heard, but refused to study opera, even with
her exquisite purity and good range; she said she would use her voice only for
the Lord.  Her gravestone was in good condition in 1966.


4350. Mary Etta Carpenter

Number 528-5 in the Timothy Carpenter book.
Mary was adopted.


6446. Carrie Babcock

Carrie, who married twice had no issue.


4351. Andrew Dwight Carpenter

Number 529-5 in the Timothy Carpenter book.
Andrew recorded that he and his family resided on a farm on Brown's Hill
between Sugar Grove and Youngsville, PA and, after wife Katie died, moved to
Warren, PA., where he remarried.  One record gives his death as in 1938. Two
others give 15 April 1939.   Interred in section 34 of the Oakland Cemetery.
