WIKIPEDIA:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_Nine_Partners_Patent
The Little Nine Partners Patent was a land patent granted in 1706 in Dutchess County, New York, United States. It was the last of fourteen patents granted between 1685 and 1706 which came to cover the entirety of historic Dutchess County (which until 1812 included today's Putnam County).
The first ten, granted between 1685 and 1697, covered almost all of Hudson River shoreline in the original county, with three - Rombouts, the Great Nine Partners, and Philipse Patents, extending significantly inland. The eleventh, and smallest, Cuyler, 1697, was the first to contain solely inland territory, just in from the Hudson. The twelfth, and next smallest, Fauconnier, in 1703, completed the Hudson River shoreline. The last two, Beekman, 1705, and the Little Nine Partners, 1706, laid claim to the remaining interior lands.

4. Frederich Zimmerman

UPDATE:
Frederick Zimmerman married an Anna.  By 1799 Frederick was using the surname of Carpenter.
While many children were born as Zimmermans, they too began using the English Carpenter surname.
JRC July 2021

OLD NOTES:
Frederick Carpenter - In Schenectady City, Schenectady County, New York, in 1830, a Fredrick Carpenter lives next door or in the same household as Abraham my GG Grandfather.  Frederick's age is listed as 50-60.  There's no way to tell of course, but Frederick could be Abraham's father, brother or uncle -- or he could be unrelated I suppose.

Lineage submitted by William Lee Carpenter - e-mail: barncarp@gmail.com - Group 1

UPDATED NOTES:

NOTE:  Regarding Group 1 members of the Carpenter Cousins Y-DNA Project
Schenectady County, New York was created in 1809 from Albany County.  Albany County was the orginal County created in 1683.
COMMENT:
Rensselaer County is adjacent to Albany County in 1800. The second county south is Dutchess County.
Saratoga County until 1809 is just north of Albany County. Now it is just north of Schenectady County.
All of these counties border the Hudson River which runs north to south.
The exception is Montgomery County created in 1772 from Albany County but was named Tyron County until 1784. Hint: Where the Christopher Carpenter-16895 line is from!
NOTE:
Just north of Albany, NY the Mohawk River flows into the Hudson.
The Mohawk River flows eastward through Montgomery County then by Schenectady, Schenectady County, NY.
North of the Mohawk River is Saratoga County. The Mohawk River goes through Montgomery County threw Schenectady County before it enters the Hudson River.
Schenectady, NY to Albany, NY is about 20 miles.

COMMENT:
The 1800 to 1840 US Census records cited below have a male Frederick Carpenter born about 1770 to 1774.

QUESTION:
Are their two (2) Frederick Carpenters in this area?
