This family line was once considered to be part of the Rehoboth, MA Carpenter line. However that Carpenter line is part of Group 3 and their genetics are VERY different from Group 1. Y-DNA testing allows the Carpenter Cousins Y-DNA Project to tell the genetic difference between these two groups and many others.
