Carpenter, Charles Age 79 of Munster, IN passed away March 22, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Frances; daughter, Cheri (Bob) Myers, Ruth (Ron) Norris and Linda (Larry) Varichione; sons: Charles White and Kenneth Carpenter; daughter-in-Iaw, Jill Carpenter; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his sons: Steven and Scott Carpenter; one daughter, Julie; and grandson, Stevie; also parents, George and Jenny Carpenter; brothers: Richard, Hershel, Leroy, George and Robert Carpenter. Visitation will take place Monday, March 25, 2013, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Burns-Kish Funeral Home, 8415 Calumet Ave., Munster. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 26 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Shannon Stringer officiating. Burial will take place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville. Mr. Carpenter was retired from American Maize (Cargill). He was an U.S. Air Force Veteran, who served in theKorean Conflict. He was a member of the VFW Post 717, American Legion Post 108, and Voiture 40-8490. He was a longtime friend of Dr. Bob and Bill W.
