OBITUARY.  Battle Creek Enquirer and News, Thursday, May 19, 1988, p. 4A. William M. (Wart) Kent, 45, of 3903 S.W. Capital Ave., died Tuesday in Community Hospital's emergency room after he was stricken at home.  He was born in Battle Creek and lived here all his life except for two months in Lexington, Ky., with the Clark Equipment   He had been working as a design engineer with Clark for the past 23 years.  He was a member of the Engineering Club, a district representative for the Karting Association, a former member of Harper Creek Optimists Club, the Michigan Air National Guard and Indian Guides. Surviving are his wife, the former Janet Berry; a son, William Kent Jr., at home; his parents, Gordon and Eva Wart of Battle Creek; and a sister, Claudia
Crampton of Augusta.  Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Royal Funeral Home.  Memorial donations may be made to the Michigan Heart Association.

William is mentioned as William M. Wart-Kent in his father's obituary in 1990. His father's obituary also stated that William died in 1988.


5266. Winfred Otto Sult

In 1942 Winfred was on army duty in San Francisco, CA, according to his mother's obituary .In 1960 Winfred was of Marquette, MI, according to his father's obituary.

OBITUARY.  Battle Creek Enquirer and News, Wednesday, May 7, 1980, p. 2B. Winfred O. Sult, 60, of 154 Tulip Tree Lane, died Tuesday shortly after his arrival at Leila Hospital.  He had been in failing health eight years and was taken to the hospital after being stricken at his home.  He was a lifelong Battle Creek area resident and was an Army veteran of World War II, serving three years in the Pacific.  He was employed by the Hydreco Division of General Signal Corp. at Galesburg 14 years and retired in 1973 because of ill health.  He is survived by his wife, the former Shirley Carrier; a daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Shirley) Wing of 197 Ellis Road; sons, Kenneth Sult of Marquette, Larry of Jackson, and David at home; five grandchildren; brothers, Leon Sult, of 4552 Baseline Road, and Elmo Sult of Marquette; and sisters, Mrs. Olene Eatherton of 23921 Banfield Road, Mrs. Betty King of St. Ann, Mo., and Mrs. Marita Irving of 126 Iden Lane.  Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Royal Funeral Home. Burial in
Bedford Cem..

Hard, MG.  She has one previous marriage; he had none.

In 1960 Wesley was of Marquette, MI, according to his father's obituary.  1980, Elmo was of Marquette according to his brother's, Winfred's, obituary. We believe Elmo and Wesley are the same individual.

Elmo died before 1995 according to his sister's, Ollene's, obituary.

OBITUARY.  Battle Creek Enquirer and News, Monday, 31 Dec. 1951, p 2. Mrs. Elmo Sult.  Lorna Lucille Sult, 29, wife of Elmo Sult of Marquette, died at 5:30 p.m. yesterday in a local hospital.  She is a former resident of Battle Creek and moved to Marquette two years ago and was brought to the hospital here a week ago.  Born in Reed City on May 5, 1922, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Samis.  She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Cheryle, 7; a son, Clifton, 11; father, George Samis of 201 E. Roosevelt; five sisters, Mrs. Leida
Williams of 32 Frisbie, Mrs. Loveta Todd of Roosevelt Court, Mrs. Marie Vaughan, Marquette; Mrs. Minnie Knuth of Ishpeming, and Mrs. Rosa Baxter of Flint; a brother, Lorn Samis of Pennfield Twp.; and several nieces and nephews.
