While doing genealogical research, I came across the web page regarding Carpenter cousins and noted that Starling Carpenter was listed as husband to Penninah Westbrook Banks and mother to 4 children. Penninah was my great grandmother and the first one listed (Mina carpenter) was Mina Jane Banks, daughter with her first husband Thomas Calhoun Banks. Also, the last son was AMA Carpenter. Jack Vance, Ama, and Asa.
It was such a professional and great line up that I felt you might want to correct it.

Hello All,
The inquiry I received regarding ZACHARIAH CARPENTER b.1805 GA turned out to be a descendant who owns a Bible record !
So, please ""cancel my last inquiry"" regarding Henry Alan Carpenter. Her Bible proves that the Henry A. Carpenter buried in New Mine Cemetery is indeed the son of Zachariah Carpenter. In fact, Henry A. who married Eloise Redus was her great grandfather. His middle name was Arlander. Charles T Carpenter was her great uncle and went by the name "Tom." He was the Charles married to Julia Blackburn.
The Bible starts with Zach so there is no proof to tie him to the Thomas Carpenter c.1785 of Henry Co., but it does show Zach born in Georgia and migrating to Harrison Co TX and marrying Margaret [Jordan] and Susan [Craver]. It lists all his children.
If my "theory" is correct that Zach was a son of Thomas, then Zach was a cousin of the Reuben Carpenter Jr who migrated to Upshur County (whose son Augustus named sons Henry & Charles).
Will have to see if my new found cousin can get her father to submit DNA. Wouldn't that be wonderful !?

Death of Henry Carpenter at Rusk
Henry Carpenter, 72, died Friday at Rusk Infirmary and the body was brought
to Pittsburg Saturday for interment in the New Mine Cemetery. Funeral services
were conducted by Rev B H Sims and Rev John E Whitt. Deceased is survived
by his wife and five children, O C Carpenter, A N Carpenter and Mrs W E Strube,
of Pittsburg, Claude Carpenter and Mrs Ida Warrick of Houston.
Mr Carpenter had been a resident of Camp County for more than 50 years.

Mrs. Klingholz was born in Pittsburgh, Texas on October 8, 1905 to H. A. and Eloise Carpenter. She was preceded in death by her husband Lowell Klingholz who died in 1981.
She was a member of Tallowood Baptist Church, and a past member of Spring Branch Lions Club as a Lioness. She is the beloved mother of Rex Warrick and his wife Joanne of Houston, the loving grandmother of Kathy Thornhill, husband Tim and their children Crystal, Melinda and Allison of Grapeland, TX; another granddaughter Kelly Thannum, husband Mark and their daughter Natalie of Ft. Worth.
Family visitation for friends was held Tuesday evening, February 5th, in the Waltrip Funeral Home from 6-9pm. Funeral services were held at 10am Wednesday, February 6, 1991 in the Memorial Oaks Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Larry Bertrand officiating. Entombment followed in the Memorial Oaks Mausoleum. The members of the Spring Branch Lions Club served as Honorary Pallbearers.
