Bio:
Charlsey Fay Lummus Carpenter was born on December 5, 1936 in Buffalo, Texas to Alvin & Irene (Shue) Hall. She was raised in Buffalo and lived most of her life in Ennis. She enjoyed listening to music, coloring, playing bingo and word puzzles. Gardening was one of her favorite pastimes, and Charlsey was good at growing flowers and just about anything she planted in the ground. Charlsey was also very crafty. She will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.
Charlsey passed away on January 24, 2014 in Mansfield at the age of 77 years. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; first husband, Otis Lummus; second husband, Jimmie Carpenter and brother, Joe Lee Hall.
Surviving family members include sons, Alvin Lummus & wife, Brenda, of Buffalo, James Ray Carpenter of Burleson and Jerald Carpenter & wife, Barbara, of Corsicana; daughters, Elizabeth McEntyre of Port Orchard, WA, Rita McGlothin & husband, Brian, of Bryan, Tonya Morris of Port Orchard, WA and Nikki Carpenter of Burleson; thirteen grandchildren, Kevin, Melissa, A.J., J.J., Kimberly, Melissa, Sarah, Timothy, Brittany, Christopher, Zachary, Devon & Isabella and nine great grandchildren, Christina, Joyce, Chayton, Austin, Emmitt, Brent, Colton, Colby & Javier.
Funeral services for Charlsey Carpenter will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Buffalo, Texas. Interment will follow in the Buffalo Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, January 28th from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home.

Mr Oren Clint Carpenter
Services for Oren Clint Carpenter, age 93, were held Sunday, Apr 13, at the
Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverends Tim Parker and Marvin
Hancock officiating. Interment was in New Mine Cemetery.
Mr Carpenter passed away Friday, Apr 11, at Pittsburg Medical Center after a
short illness. He was born May 31, 1892 in Camp County, and was a resident
of this area all of his life where he was a retired farmer. He had been a member
of the New Mine Baptist Church since 1903, and became an Ordained Deacon
in 1925.
Survivors include one son, Hubert Carpenter of Pittsburg; one daughter, Mrs Marie
Carroll of houston; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren;
one sister, Mrs Mildred Klingholz of Houston; and a number of other relatives and
friends.
Pallbearers were Elwyn Williams, Hubert Cummings, Keith Patterson, Alton Taylor,
Morrell Carpenter and Weldon Hart.
Honorary Pallbearers were Everett Hart, Robbie Hart, Sperry Black and J M Griffith.

Pittsburg - Services for Mrs Etta Carpenter, 82, of Rt 2, Pittsburg will be 2pm
Wednesday at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs M R Hancock
and Bob Braly officiating.
Burial for Mrs Carpenter, who died Monday afternoon in a Pittsburg hospital after
a short illness will be at New Mine Cemetery in Camp County.
She was born Feb 27, 1895 in Camp County where she had lived all her life. She
was a housewife and member of the Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, O C; a son, Hubert of Pittsburg; a daughter, Mrs Marie
Carroll of Houston; a sister, Mrs Della Hart of Pittsburg; four grandchildren and seven
great-grandchildren.

Retired District Clerk  A N Carpenter, Dies

Albert N Carpenter, 78, of 427 Rusk St passed away at his home,
Wednesday, Feb 28.
A native of Camp County, he was born Nov 27, 1894 and had lived in
this area most of his life. He was a former District Clerk and County
Treasurer of Camp County.
Funeral services were conducted at the New Mine Baptist Church, of
which he was a member, 2pm Friday, with the Rev Floyd Hoover, officiating.
Survivors include his wife, the former Miss Naomi Smith, to whom he married
in 1916. Other survivors include two sons, James Morrell Carpenter, Pittsburg
and Albert Ray Carpenter, Kemp, Texas; one daughter, Mrs Altha Mae Honeycutt,
of Tyler;one brother, O C Carpenter, Pittsburgh; one sister, Mrs L E Klengholz of
Houston; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Burial was in New Mine Cemetery with grandsons.
