Jean Lyles, 91, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2013. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Friday in Greenwood Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Greenwood Funeral Home. She was born Aug. 26, 1921, in Pittsburg, Texas, to Ezera and Lula H. Carpenter. She graduated from Pittsburg High School. She married Raymond T. Lyles on July 21, 1941. Jean was a member of First Baptist Church in White Settlement and a member of the Eastern Star in Granbury. She was a devout 42 player and enjoyed playing with Frances and Bill Colwell. Jean was an avid Texas Rangers fan. She retired from Justin Boot Co. in 1983. Jean was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is gone from our home, but not from our hearts. Survivors: Husband, Raymond Lyles; son, John Richard Lyles Sr. and wife, Pat; daughters, Martha Alsbrooks and husband, Robert, Glenda MacPherson and husband, David; grandchildren, John Richard Lyles Jr., Sean Eric Lyles, Tonja Michelle Alsbrooks, Robert H. Alsbrooks Jr.; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Leon Carpenter; sisters, Velma Spray, Tommy Faye Craft, Ruth Fisher; nephew, Bill Carpenter; numerous nieces and nephews.

Raymond Thorp Lyles, 96, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015.
Raymond, born and raised in Monticello, was a resident of Fort Worth for over 60 years. He served in World War II in the Army Air Corps. Raymond retired in 1980 after 36 years with Commercial Transport Co. He was a member of Tarrant Masonic Lodge 942 for over 50 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Chloe Jean Lyles in 2013; brother, Bobby Lyles; sisters, Virginia Lacey and Dorothy Hudgins; and sister-in-law, Tommie Faye.
Survivors: Children, John R. and Pat Lyles, Martha and Bob Alsbrooks, Glenda and Dave MacPherson; grandchildren, Rick, Sean and Shawna Lyles, Tonja Alsbrooks and brother, Rob; great-grandchildren, Brittanie Austin, and Danielle Lyles and Madison Alsbrooks; great-great-grandson, Aiden Lyles; brother-in-law, Leon Carpenter; sisters-in-law, Velma Spray and Ruth Fisher; and numerous nieces and nephews.
