The Lititz Record (Lititz, Pa.), Thursday, Sept. 17, 1931, p. 1, col. 4:
"Jerome Ressler
Jerome Ressler, 72, died shortly after noon Thursday at his home, 131 North Cedar Street, of the effects of a cerebral hemorrhage. He was overcome about a half hour before his death while working in his garage, where he was found by members of the family.
Dr. H. Walter, of Rothsville, the family physician, was summoned, and Dr. S. J. Leicy responded with the Community Ambulance and pulmotor, as it was first believed that Mr. Ressler was overcome by carbon monoxide, or that the engine had been running. Mr. Ressler is survived by his widow, Catharine, also one daughter, Mrs. D. W. Kreiner, of Lititz; a brother, Frank, of Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Jacob Weachter, of Clay, and Mrs. George Pipgress, of Rothsville, and five grandchildren.
