John Wilbur "Sully" Wagaman
Birth: Jul. 9, 1915

The Gravestone next to this one is John W. Wagaman, Jr., I blocked out the DOB for his wife as I believe she is still living - original photo is in my files.
-----------
Summary news article in the Lititz (PA) Express, published 21 Feb 2013, original full article published Thursday, 21 Feb 1963 (full article can be obtained from the Lititz Public Library).
"Out of the Past - 50 Years Ago - Mark Wagaman - Young Mark Wagaman, sixteen, is following in the footsteps of his father and his uncle in becoming a star of the local high school basketball team.
His father, John Wilbur Wagaman, known as "Sully," was a star of the championship Lititz High School team in the mid-'30s, and his uncle, Herbert Wagaman, presently a County Commissioner, was on the team the same year. "Sully" held the lead the first half of that season, but gave way to "Herb" in the second half of the year.
The Wagamans are eminently suited to be basketball players, for they all are tall men. Young Mark is six feet five inches; his father, "Sully," is six feet four, and his uncle "Herb" is six feet seven.
Mark has been particularly valuable to this year's championship Warwick Union team in his ability to rebound. Since Joe Carl, leading scorer of the team, had been side-lined because of an injury, Mark has come up in the scoring column.
Warwick is the winner of the Section 2 championship in the League, having won ten games and lost none. They will play for the county championship Feb. 27, probably with Columbia."
