Bio: Harry Leon Carpenter Sr., 77, of Hagerstown, MD, died May 3, 2015, at the Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown, MD.Born October 28, 1937, in Maryland, he was the son of the late Earl and Thelma Spigler Carpenter.Harry is survived by his two daughters, Brenda Palmer and Robin Armstrong, both of Maryland; five sons, Harry Carpenter Jr., of Maryland, Harvey Carpenter, of Pennsylvania, Brian Carpenter, of Pennsylvania, Bobby Carpenter, of Pennsylvania, and Eric Carpenter, of Pennsylvania; three sisters, Mildred Gordon, Mary Lappe and Evelyn Richards; one brother, Larry Carpenter; fifteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and his former wife, Helen Carpenter.He was preceded in death by his son, Melvin Carpenter.There will be no services.Hagerstown Herald MailMay 5, 2015
