Hello again John,
I’ve run into a roadblock regarding Martha May Carpenter, born 21 April 1880. I don’t know from where, but I have a DOD of 20 Sep 1880. If she died at the age of 4 months, she couldn’t have been married to William Luther. I can’t find a death record or a grave. I do have her sister Aurelia Adalade as being married to a William Henry Luther and John Duzan.
Any help resolving this will be greatly appreciated!

Regarding Martha May Carpenter-242518 born 21 Apr 1880. I have no documentation of death or marriage.
Per the 1900 US Census, her mother Ellen has 3 children living of 7 she gave birth to.
We know that Allee S C-242498 was alive and with her parents in 1900.
Charles A. C-242509 died in 1965 thus alive in 1900.
Aurelia A. C-242642 died in 1962 thus she too was alive in 1900.
By default then, Marth M. C-242518 was deceased before the 1900 US Census.
Is it possible Martha married? Yes, but there is no proof. The same for children.
However, it is more likely she died young.

Ft. Leavenworth, as a "Sargeant." He was discharged in 1865 at the age of 38,
meaning that he was born in 1827, in Lawrence Co. Alabama. (I have his
discharge papers.) His father, Robert, died in Lawrence Co. Alabama in 1859.

Pg 906 of that book which is under the Chapter Nov 1889 says:
Robert Carpenter, son of Zenith, of Alabama was born in 1795; married Rebecca May. Their son Zenith Carpenter was born July 28, 1827 and married Dec 13, 1848, Mrs. Cynthia Coburn nee' Hendricks, born in January 1831. She was the daughter of Larkin. Mr. Carpenter was a warm Union man, served as a justice of the peace in Tennessee, and as postmaster at Farley (Platte co MO) for four years. He is now a farmer, and is highly esteemed. Children:

WILLIAM Russell CARPENTER b. 1851 married March 15, 1883 Angie Alvis.
VIRANDA J CARPENTER b. in 1853 married George W. Moore

Andrew Jackson Babcock was one of 9 children born to Charles Babcock b. June 22 1822 OH and Pauline Moore who married Nov 6, 1843. His father Charles Babcock committed suicide by slitting his throat near Waldron on June 14, 1889. He was a worthy farmer. (Information from Annals of Platte Co MO by Wm Paxton pg 182). Andrew Jackson Babcock and Ann Elizabeth (Carpenter) Babcock had a son Ernest Babcock (per Annals of Platte Co. MO).
Married Ann Elizabeth 'Betty' Carpenter on Sept 15, 1889 in Platte County, Mo. Died age 66 from appendicitis and acute perotonitis in Missouri hospital in Kansas City. At time of death he was a retired farmer.

My mother-in-law is a great grand daughter of Lucinda Carpenter and
Jason Tudor.
Her grand-mother Margaret Ann Tudor Adams is not listed on the Carpenter
site as their child, nor is her brother Samuel Marcus Tudor, just her
little sister Grace.Attached is some documentation regarding the 2 children not listed to
help you correct the Carpenter cousin's website.
- Marriage of Lucinda Carpenter with Jason Walker TUDOR on
6-Jan-1870(which you probably already have).
Lucinda and Jason got a divorce, but I don't have any information on
the dates. If you have any, I would greatly appreciate it- Death certificate of Margaret Tudor Adams - daughter of Lucinda
Carpenter and Jason Tudor.
Margaret married George Washington ADAMS on 27-Aug-1896 in Madison
Co., KY.
(George Washington Adams b: 7-Feb-1866 in Estill Co., KY and died on
15-Oct-1904 in Madison Co., KY)- Death Certificate of Margaret Tudor Adams' son George Jason Adams (my
mother-in-law's father)- Marriage of my mother-in-law's parents that includes the names of the
groom's parents (G.W Adams and Margaret Tudor)- 2 Census of 1880 a) with Jason Tudor and 2 children Samuel and Maggie;
b) Just Lucinda and daughter Grace- Marriage of Samuel Marcus Tudor son of Jason Tudor and Lucinda
Carpenter in 1923. I don't know if this was his 1st or second marriage.After reviewing the information on the site, I am a bit confused
regarding 244. Zophar Carpenter (Robert , Nathaniel , Joseph , William
) was born about 1733 in North Castle, Westchester, NY. He died on 6 Feb
1798 in Madison, Garrard, KY.Do I understand correctly that his parents were doubly cousins:
- Through their grand-fathers 14. Capt. Nathaniel Carpenter (Joseph ,
William) and 18. Capt. Benjamin Carpenter (Joseph , William) who were
half-brothers and
- Through their mother's who were sisters (Tamar and Mercy Coles) ?I had not seen the information regarding Elizabeth Twin A before. Is
this relatively new and is there documentation available ?Many thanks.
