Ms. Mary Estelle Carpenter Morris, 89 of Albemarle, NC, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2012 at Stanly Regional Medical Center.Her service will be Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Stanly Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Fred Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service at Stanly Funeral Home.
Born on October 7, 1923 in Stanly County, NC, Ms. Morris was the daughter of the late Jonah Lafayette and Jennie Hathcock Carpenter.
Three sister, Betty Haire, Bertha Burris, and Alice Parnell also preceded her in death.
She was a graduate of Albemarle High School and a retired employee of Stanly Knitting Mills. She was also a member of Main Street United Methodist Church in Albemarle, NC.
Ms. Morris is survived by a number of nieces and nephews; a special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Louise & Jack Morris of Albemarle, NC; and a special nephew, Jerry Haire of Locust, NC.
