Elizabeth "Lib" Lyles Jones died at Rosewood Village Assisted Living, where she resided the past three years. The funeral service was held on Dec. 27, at First Baptist Church. Funeral arrangements were handled by Wilkinson Funeral Home.Lib studied at Converse College in voice and English and graduated with a B. A. in English. She completed a course at Pan American Business College in Richmond where she met her husband; married in 1945. They lived in Concord where Lib was active in First Baptist Church, singing in the choir and teaching Sunday school. She served as past president of the Junior Charity League, on Parent Teacher Association boards, and as an officer in her garden club. From time to time Lib was employed by Gulf Oil Corporation and she worked briefly for Belk in New York.
Mrs. Jones is survived by a sister, three daughters, six grandsons, five great-grandchildren, three nieces, and two nephews.

From Find a Grave member, John (46919824): Corporal Luther E. "Bobo" Boger, from China Grove, North Carolina, of the 82nd Airborne Division is reading a poster near the destroyed Panther tank against the background of the Cologne Cathedral in Germany. The sign is meant as a warning of potential German fire. (April 4, 1945). The Panther was destroyed by an American M26 Pershing.After the war Luther returned to North Carolina and became the co-owner of the Joe P. Fisher Real Estate and Insurance Agency in Concord. In 1957, he opened Bobo's Golf Range on U.S. 29, and in 1961 he became Golf Pro and Manager of the golf shop for Cabarrus Country Club. In later years, he worked for the Gulf Oil Corporation and for Security Oil Company. Luther died on October 2, 2009 at the age of 86.
