Subject: My Brother Coles

My brother Coles has just recently been diagnosed with stomach cancer.
He will need chemo and radiation therapy as well as radial surgery.
Survival rate from this is low according to some medical journals.
Any and all prayers would be appreciated.
I ask God, for him not to be spared but to have peace and comfort & not suffer.God has his reasons for taking loved ones from us it's just not always clear to us.

Hi Uncle John,
Dad is not doing well. He is slowing fadeing away. Cant email, answer IMs, or phone calls right now. Says he cant hear- but we are thinking that he just cant process anything. I havent seen a smile in weeks. He sleeps a lot or just sits. He is still at the Manor, however I am thinking that he may need more care in the next few weeks.
He had an EEG last week- after we saw a nerologist -we should get some answers, however they believe that there was some brain damage from the last chemo.
The kids have went to visit- Jason is going tomorrow with me. Kev and I are trying to decided when would be the best time to move into the VA nursing home as Dad is not taking his cans (his feeding tube fell out) and he told the dr he would drink the cans. He is hardly eating.
If you need to do a day visit in the next few weeks- just tell me the day as we have many appointments. He is scheduled for chemo (to help with pain) on Tuesday that I will go to but I do not think that he will have chemo as he is not doing so well.
I will keep you posted~ We have been pretty busy with getting his appartment cleaned and cleared before the Dec 1 and trying to get through paper work...and still trying to visit and go to appointments. Last Friday we had 7 appointments in one day.
I am going to start making arrangements as I know it will be difficult when the time comes. Not saying he has only days or weeks....but I can see a big change in him fast. I am also looking to get him a uniform as he would like to be laid to rest in Saratoga.
Tara Kim
