Saturday morning at 9:25 at the
Mrs. Mary Bush home in Amsterdam.
He had been in poor health
for some time.
Mr. Carpenter resided In Gloversville
until several years ago when
he moved to Amsterdam, where he
has since made his home. He was
very well known In this vicinity as
he had done contract work in.
Amsterdam, Fort Johnson and
Gloversville. He was a member of
the Fremont Street Methodist
church of Gloversville.
The survivors are one son, George
Carpenter, of Benedict; two daughters,
Mrs. Wallace Cook, of Saeandaga
Park and Mrs. George Mac-
Dougall, of Amsterdam, ten grandchildren,

and one great-great grandson.
Funeral services will be held
Tuesday afternoon at 1 at the
Merriam ft Waterstreet funeral
home, 74 Division street. Rev.
Carey S. Osborne will officiate.
Interment will be made in the family
plot in the Amsterdam cemetery.

THE MORNING HERALD, GLOVERSVILLE AND JOHNSTOWN, N. Y. WEDNESDAY, APRIL 11, 1951:Mrs. Ida Carpenter Cook, 83, widow of A. Wallace Cook, died this morning at 1 at the home of Mrs. Frank Van Valkenburg, 11 Tale street, with whom she has resided for three years. She had been ill several years.She was born in Saratoga Springs, Jan. 19, 1868, daughter of Maurice and Sarah B. James Carpenter. Mrs. Cook lived in Gloversville the greater part of her life. In 1913 she removed to Sacandaga Park where she resided until three years ago. Her husband was baggage master at the Sacandaga Park railroad station.One of Mrs. Cook's ancestors was Samuel Benton, who was among the first settlers in Northville and the first mayor of that village.She was a member of the First Methodist church of Northville and the United Workers Class of that church.The survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Ray R. Seidl, Northville; two sons, Wallace C. Cook and Kenneth J. Cook, an adopted grandson, both of Gloversville; one sister, Mrs. Emily MacDougall, Amsterdam; one brother, George Carpenter Benedicts; eight grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.The body was removed to the Palmer & Benjamin funeral home, 32 South Market street, Johnstown. Funeral arrangements will be announced.

THE MORNING HERALD, GLOVERSVILLE AND JOHNSTOWN, N. Y. MONDAY, NOVEMBER 26, 1934:
A. Wallace Cook 70, was found dead Sunday morning about 6:30 on the Benson highway where he was night watchman over the machinery which is being used in the building of the new road in that vicinity. George Conklin of Lakeside Drive discovered the body of Mr. Cook. Dr. J. E. Grant was called immediately and the body was brought to the Fred B. Hay funeral home. Mr. Cook had been subject to heart trouble for some time, and although he had not been in his usual health he had been able to continue with his work.

He was born in the Town of Northampton, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Cook, of Northampton. He had been a resident of Sacandaga for the past 21 years, and he was baggage master at the Sacandaga station for 18 years. He was very well known throughout the community, and had a host of friends who will be saddened to learn the news of his passing.

Besides his wife he is survived by one son, Wallace Cook, of Gloversville; one daughter, Mrs. Ray R. Seidl of Northville; one adopted son, Kenneth Cook of Cobleskill; seven grandchildren two great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Dora VanValkenburg and Mrs. Elisabeth Calhoun both of Gloversville; one brother, Henry Cook of Gloversville and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 P. M., in the First Methodist church, Rev. Dr. C. S. Defandorf officiating.  Interment will be made in the family plot in the King-Northampton cemetery.
