Subject: William F. Haviland, son James
John, I found a discrepency in your records with those of the old Westechester county book, "Early wills of Westchester County, New York : from 1664 to 1784 "
It has an appendix on the HAVILANDs of Westchester County, NY with a lot of genealogical information.
This has William Haviland Jr., s/o William & Anna (Griffen) Haviland, born 7-19-1811, New Castle, N.Y., d. 2-3-1889, Brooklyn, NY, married 10/30/1839 to Esther Seaman, b. 4/22/1809, d. 8/25/1891, Brooklyn, NY. They had David S., Walter, Mary E., Ella, Frank, Alfred and Edward.
The William F. Haviland that you have married to Sarah Ann Carpenter, is possibly the same as William F. Haviland, s/o Solomon Haviland and Abigail Halstead?
Let me know if you get these alright, and what you think of this.
Thank you
Marilyn (Heavilin) Current
