Hello John,
We are STILL searching for our lost Aaron Carpenter to no avail. However, we just were contacted by another distant relative who shares Zelotus J. Carpenter as an ancestor!
How fun it was to have him reach out via Wikitree and then to be able to actually visit with him on the phone.
Zelotus had a daughter, Betsy Thankful Carpenter who married George Thorp. She turns out to be an older sister of John Hancock Carpenter, Clark’s great grandfather. Betsy and George had 5 kids and #2 was Minnie Marie Thorp Traub. She in turn had a son, Archie who then had a daughter, Maxine. Maxine had Dana Traub and he is the 73 year old gentleman that had help to put out an inquiry about Zelotus on Wikitree. That email came to us!
He says his Mom never married so he has the same last name as his grandpa, Archie, and has no siblings. How excited he was to discover more FAMILY! He’s been sending photos galore and we have sent several back to him. Genealogy can have some interesting outcomes.
