3010. Glezen Fillmore Carpenter
NOTE: #291-4 of the T. Carpenter book. GLEZEN sometimes written as GLEAZEN or
GLEASON was the first official interment in Evergreen Cemetery after his father
dedicated the land to the community for the cemetery. Had at least one child.
NOTE: #292-4 in the T. Carpenter book. LEWIS was married three times and had issue
with all three. LEWIS and his brother JOHN were named executors of their
father's will dated 5-26-1882. LEWIS petitioned to act as administrator. Each
spouse has an individual gravestone; these stones were in good condition in
1974.A pattern of the deaths of the first two wives suggest that either LEWIS
divorced JANET WILDER (died 1863) or LEWIS was a practicing Mormon,
concidering that his second spouse, LORAINE died in 1862. Regardless of the
situation, each was given honored status in death.
EMELINE was known as "EMILY".
NOTE: #294-4 in the T. Carpenter book. LYDIA married twice having at least two
children.
