" Carrie M. Carpenter Taken by Death at 78
Mrs. Carrie M. Carpenter, 78, Walton, N.Y., widow of Joseph
Carpenter and a former Nicholson resident, died yesterday after
a long illness at the home of her son, Joseph Jr., with whom she
resided.
Born in Nicholson Township, Wyoming County, daughter of
the late Charles and Adelaide Bailey Spencer, she resided in
Nicholson Township most of her life, moving to Walton 17 years
ago. Two grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a number of
nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral will be held from the Renville Funeral Home,
State St., Nicholson, Wednesday afternoon at 2.Interment,
Nicholson Cemetery. Friends may call tomorrow night from 6 to 10."
