Joe Issic Green, 78, of Wetumka, Okla., died Monday, Jan. 4, 2010, in Holdenville, Okla. He was a retired farm laborer, truck driver, logger and mechanic. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Old Cache Cemetery in Keota under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Stigler. He is survived by five daughters, Josephine Weece of Keota, Margie Boyd of Ada, Okla., Glenda Pierce of Anna, Texas, Evon Gilbert of Oklahoma City and Sharon Buckner of Stigler; a son, John Green of Wetumka, Okla.; three stepdaughters, Shelva Amos of Stigler, Anna Belger of Des Moines, Iowa, and Ferrah Cellars of El Paso, Texas; four stepsons, Joe and Troy Benavidez, both of Gainesville, Texas, and Robert and George Benavidez, both of Keota; three half sisters, Eunice Grigsby of Tulsa, Anna Foster of Fort Smith and Joyce Phillips of Texas; a stepsister, Wanda Hagle of Thackerville, Okla.; a half brother, Kenneth Carpenter of Terlton, Okla.; two stepbrothers, Henry Green of Arizona and Leroy Green of Stigler; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be John Green, George, Joe and Robert Benavidez, Tandy Sullivan, Kenneth Carpenter and Rex Little.
