---Lloyd Joseph Carpenter, 55, life long resident of this vicinity, died at his home in east Michigan avenue this morning at 5:00 a.m. following an illness of two days. He was born in Lee township. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Clarence Bennett and Mrs. C Weidnar, a brother Cassius Carpenter and a sister, Mrs. Mary Ranger.
---Funeral services will be held at the Kelser-More funeral tomorrow afternoon at 4:00 o'clock with burial in Oakridge cemetery.
