12634. Hobart Sampson "Bart" Butcher

Hobart Sampson "Bart" Butcher was born 9 July 1898 at Spencer, West  Virginia,
died 24 April 1989 and married on 23 August 1931 at San Diego, California  to
Gladys Vernen Moree (born 10 July 1907 at Plevna, Reno County , Kansas, died at
Spokane, Washington, daughter of DeForest and Jennie (Foote) Moree)

The above and the following are taken from the Mowrey book.  The family record
in this case is of value due to the fact that it indicates that there were
other children, at least one more daughter, in this family.  The child was not
named, just the statement "another daughter".
Children of Hobart Sampson Butcher, of Martha Elizabeth Argabrite, of
Elizabeth Wines.
1. Bette Jeanette Butcher was born 20 November 1932 at Honolulu, Hawaii  and
married on 23 August 1952 at Yuma, Arizona to John Andrew Topp (born 20
November 1933 at New York City, son of John and Pearl (Bozoki) Topp.
Another daughter.


12651. Drexel Lee Mowrey

BURIAL: Creston,Wirt Co WV Mount Plesant Cemetery.
Drexel Lee Mowrey was born 22 October 1930, died 17 July 1994 and  married
Willa Grace Long 12 June 1950 (born 23 October 1932, daughter of Howard  and
Matilda (Mace) Long). Drexel was a wounded and  a decorated veteran (silver
star, purple heart et cetera) of the Korean War. He is buried in Mount
Pleasant Cemetery  on Groundhog Ridge outside of Creston, Wirt County, West
Virginia.
