Carpenter.  She and her husband returned to New York.

Thomas Frost Jr.

On 27 Apr 1999 "Lawrence Gordon More" LMORE@worldnet.att.net supplied;
BOOK: Taken from 'Frost Genealogy' by Josephine C. Frost, copyright 1912.
Page 221.
There was a Thomas and Thomas, Jr., who served in the Revolutionary War
from Dutchess County.
MISC: There is no Thomas, Jr. in the above record.  The Thomas Frost who
married Phebe Carpenter (daughter of Archelaus & Rebecca (Goulding) Carpenter)
was probably the Thomas, Jr. that should be a son to Thomas Frost
born 17 May 1718. See below.
THOMAS FROST, who d. between 1774-1783, m. Phebe, b. July 7, 1764, daughter
of Archelaus (Hercules, Ar'cles) and Rebecca (Goulding) Carpenter. The
compiler has been unable to learn whom the parents of the above Thomas
were, but there is a tradition in the family that his son Archelaus was
born and raised on Long Island and that the family were a "well-to-do" one,
owning their slaves, etc., and that Thomas had a brother who went to Nova
Scotia.

853. Mary Carpenter

Worden Cemetery - (Private) Washadamoak Lake, Johnston Parish, Queens Co., NB This sketch and report was made by Fred L. Corcoran, assisted by Mr. George West, for the Queens County Historical Society - Nov 1975..
This cemetery is on land originally granted to John Jarvis, and known as Lot No. 38. It is in a field behind some tumble down buildings. The property is owned by a man living in Germany. The out-buildings are in bad shape and the house is beginning to go. There is only one headstone in sight and it is broken in two. People living along the road say that there are a number of Wordens burried there, but no signs of any graves. The last Worden living on the place was Arthur and his wife Hettie.. See separate map file..

Subject: Re: Our cousin John L. Carpenter ( I am aware of the Lucretia who married Humpfrey, but that is not my family.  My Lucretia is buried in the Mayfield Cemetery, Sycamore, Dekalb county, Illinois as a Nichols. I found a funny newspaper article about her claiming to be 110 years old living with her son, my 2nd GGF John Wesley Nichols in Decatur, Illinois.  When John Wesley Nichols got married his best man was Ulysess S. Grant, his General for whom John was Aide de Camp. My Benjamin will not show in the DAR records until I can prove his granddaughter Lucretia was from John Benjamin Carpenter.  I have Mary Searles Carpenter's will to prove this John.  I have searched Quaker meeting records for all the areas they lived.  Yes, John Caverly jr eventually signed the Safety Committee list and did build ships for the war effort.  He owned an island in the Hudson where they built the boats, mostly traders' sloops.  We lived in Borrego Springs in 1975 where Mike was a Ranger.  I taught high school and college at Grossmont, Valhalla, La Mesa, and in Spring Valley and Chula Vista in the 70s and 80s.  Do you need me to send any info on those two history books that are primary sources?  I found more than 50 pages on this family in these texts.  You may be busy reading them on-line as I write this.  I found them on the web page for the town of Marlborough NY and their history society.  Judy Muetz

Subject: Documents for Lucretia Carpenter Nichols
I read through everything that I have and what you listed.  There are two items that I think you need to have from my collection.  The first clue that I ever found for Lucretia was the 1923 death certificate for one of her sons that is not in my line;  it lists his mother's maiden name as Lucretia Carpenter,  wife of Peter Nichols.  Then  Davis Dickenson sent me this lovely copy of Lucretia's will, which has a lot of information in it. So I am sending you these two documents.  Everything else I think you already have.  I have the census lists for 1810 and 1820 with girls of the right age for Lucretia in the home of John B. Carpenter.  Those are secondary documents because then the names were not listed.  Judy Muetz
