John and Irene lived in Portland, Oregon. John's Father is buried in Portland, Oregon as well. I take it that Irene is still living?

John H. Carpenter, 82, of Billings, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2002.
John was born on Feb. 14, 1920, in Reed Point, one of 13 children born to Fred and Effie Carpenter. At the age of 10, he moved to Park City with his family, where he received his education and worked on the family farm and other area homesteads. In 1942, John enlisted in the Army Air Corps, serving in England during WWII.
Following his discharge, John moved to Billings where, in 1947, he began work with Archie Cochrane Motors. After 20 years as a mechanic, he returned to the work he loved most: working on ranches in Sumatra and later in Belle Fourche, S.D.
John loved to play the guitar, working with leather, hunting and fishing. His greatest pleasures were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters; Cheryl Hand of Billings and Tara Carpenter of Boise, Idaho; a son, Ron (Joyce) Carpenter of Billings; two brothers, George and Phil; three sisters, Edith, Dorothy and Rosalie; six grandchildren, B.J. (Amy), Travis (Amy), Misti (Brian), Laci, Brian and Melissa; three great-grandchildren, Samantha, Ashley and Tayla; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 29, at the Lockwood Evangelical Church in Billings. Interment will be at 2 p.m. on Monday at the Park City Cemetery with military honors. Smith Downtown Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
