Dwayne Evors will officiate. Burial will be in Willow Wild Cemetery. Mrs. Huckabee was born Nov. 23, 1925, in Gober, daughter of Gaines Alvis and Myrtie Wheeler. She married James Huckabee Oct 16, 1945, in Bonham. Mrs. Huckabee was a member of Sylvania Baptist Church of Tyler. Survivors include a daughter, Sandy Ridenhour of Bonham; three sisters, Gladys Anderson of Ector, Melba Bigbee of Sherman, Janette Smith of Irving; and two grandchildren. The family will be at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m. Saturday.

Melba L. Bigbee
SHERMAN--Funeral services for Melba L. Bigbee. 68. of Sherman, who died April 25, 1995, at Wilson N. Jones, will be held at 2 p.m. /Thursday at East Sherman Baptist Church. The Rev. Thomas Beall will officiate. Burial will be in the Gober Cemetery southeast of Bonham. Arrangements are under the direction of Walde Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bigbee was born Oct 5, 1926, in Gober, the daughter of Gaines Avis Wheeler and Myrtle Carpenter Wheeler. She graduated from Gober High School in 1944. She worked for Bonham Herald newspaper from 1945 to 1946, and was retired from Texas Laundry, where she worked from 1965 to 1979. She was a member of East Sherman Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Joe Bigbee of Ravenna; a daughter , Susan Simms of Denison; two sisters, Gladys Anderson of Ector and Jeanette Smith of Irving,; and four grandchildren. Pallbearers will be nephews, The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today and other times at the Edward and Susan Simms residence in Denison. Memorials may be made to East Sherman Baptist Church Building Fund, 801 S. Willow, Sherman, Texas 75090

John Henry Smith, Jr., of Irving, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012. He was born December 16, 1952 to parents John Henry and Evelyn Jeannette Wheeler Smith. God called him home to join his mother and father in Heaven. Henry was born with severe cataracts, causing blindness, but was raised to be independent. By the time he was 18, he could do almost anything he wanted to. He worked for several years at the Lighthouse for the Blind. His brothers and sisters will always have Henry in their hearts.
Survivors include sisters Carolyn Harris and husband Jimmy Dexter of Marysville, Washington, Katherine Harris and husband Hilary of DeKalb, Texas, Patricia Blankenship and husband Kenneth Fronterhouse of Irving, and Michelle Mexia and husband Larry of Irving; brother Ricky Lee Smith of Texarkana, Texas; 7 nieces; 10 nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins. Graveside services will be held at 10 AM Monday, July 16, 2012 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving. The family will receive friends 2-4 PM Saturday at the funeral home.Family Members
