∼Jimmy E. Carpenter, age 47, of Hermitage, AR, died Wednesday, December 9th in Cleveland County, AR as a result of an auto accident.

He was born on January 10th, 1968 in Monticello, AR, a son of Christine Evans Carpenter, Warren, AR and the late Floyd Carpenter. "The Legend" was employed for 17 years with Mondi Paper Mill in Pine Bluff. He loved spending time with his family, everything Elvis Presley, watching WWE wrestling, deer hunting, scratch-off tickets, pulling pranks, and getting a good deal at everywhere from thrift stores and yard sales to treasure found on the side of the road.

Jim enjoyed turning a profit on his "good deals" and "treasures" or even trading up for something better. Most of all, Jim loved to make people laugh, whether it was a silly song, a dance, or a hunting video. Jim had a heart of gold and was known by all as selfless and generous. He thought of and put others before himself, made sacrifices for those he loved, and would give you anything you needed. Jim never met a stranger and will leave a lasting impact on all who knew him. And yes, he was a "Legend."

Jim is preceded in death by his father, Floyd Carpenter, and father-in-law, Clyde J. Ross.
