Jerry Wayne Carpenter, age 72 of Butler, Missouri died Friday, July 12, 2019 at his home in Butler. He was born February 10, 1947 to Ervin Lee and Willa Wigger Carpenter in Kansas City, Missouri.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Kelly Carpenter of Butler, Missouri; two sons, Kevin Carpenter and wife Roxie of Butler, Missouri and Bobby Carpenter and fiance' Tassie of Independence, Missouri; a daughter, Kelli McMullin and husband Mike of Butler, Missouri; three sisters, Charlyn Mooney of Belton, Missouri, Terri Moore and husband Jack of Overland Park, Kansas and Amber Plunkett and husband Paul of Nevada, Missouri; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Patricia Carpenter; one brother, Brent Carpenter; and one sister, Kathy Ann Carpenter.

Benjamin Leo "Sonny" Carpenter, 51, Pittsburg, KS passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2020. Sonny was born June 7, 1968 in Arkadelphia, AR to Albert Leo and Shirley (Weddell) Carpenter. He married Christina Heckadon and to this union three children were born.Sonny graduated from Butler High School, Butler, MO in 1986. He loved hunting, fishing, listening to music, cooking, and especially spending time with family. He was a jokester, and he enjoyed going on outings to the casino with his mother. Sonny was a very spiritual person who walked to the beat of his own drum. He was fondly known by his close friends and family as Sundance and Sundog.
He is survived by one son, Justin Carpenter (Vanessa), Baytown, TX; two daughters, Melony Harding, Butler, MO, and Valery Carpenter, Gravois Mills, MO; grandchildren Koby Lee Carpenter, Marijane Marie Harding, Brandon Michael Lutjen, Jr., Payton Nicole Lutjen; ; step-grandchildren, Brandon Emmanuel Carpenter, Chrystal Carolina Carpenter, Destiny Lutjen, Jayna Lutjen, Raylynn Lutjen, and Zachary Harding; mother, Shirley Wymore, Nevada; four sisters, Beverly Carpenter, Gallatin, MO, Norma Jean Bledsoe, El Dorado Springs, MO, Sandy Corwine, Amsterdam, MO, and Frances Carpenter, Butler, MO; nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of special friends.
