Dorothy T. Carpenter Greenville Dorothy Tourtellotte Carpenter, wife of Hambleton Baxter Carpenter of 3 Hoke Smith died Saturday, September 23, 2006. Born September 1921, in Fletcher, she was the daughter of the late Edward Everette and Beatrice Roll Tourtellotte. She was a homemaker, a member of the Woman's Club, a charter member and past president of the Carolinian Debutante Club, past president of the Wildwood Garden Club and past president of Greenville' High School PTA. Mrs.Carpenter was a communicant of Christ Church Episcopal, and was active with the Altar Guild. Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Dorothy C. "Dusty" Brownell and her husband, Bo, of Greenville, S.C., and Vicki C. Waters and her husband, Buddy, of Campobello, S.C.; a son, H.B. "Bud" Carpenter and his wife, Mary Stewart Carpenter, of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; a sister, Betty Murphy of Hous-, ton, Texas; three brothers, Edward Everette Tourtellotte of San Diego, Richard Lee Tourtellotte and James Roll Tourtellotte, both of Oklahoma City, and nine grandchildren, Iverson.
Brownell, Reed Brownell, Smith, Brownell, Ben and Beth Waters, Gabe and Ashley Waters, Marie Waters, Kelly and Michael Bozard, Mari-frasier Carpenter and Kath-ryn Carpenter. A memorial service will be conducted Monday, September 25, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Christ Church Episcopal, with the Rev. Dr. Robert S.
Dannals officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Church Episcopal, 10 N. Church Greenville, SC ,29601. The family would like to express a special thanks to staff of St. Francis Open Arms Hospice and to Kelly Home Care.
