Thank you so much for the confirmation. Roy is my brother and I sent the original e-mail in his name since
he is the last male Carpenter in our line and would have been doing the test.
I have spent countless hours trying to find confirmation that Samuel B Carpenter was the descendant of William Carpenter.
I am so excited to finally get this confirmation. Maybe I will go visit Rehoboth Massachusetts and visit the Carpenter Museum now. Thank you so much for all this amazing work you've done on the Carpenter families!

Bonnie LaVon Carpenter
May 9, 1921 ~ September 16, 2020 (age 99)Bonnie was born on May 9, 1921 to Ebert Marion and Allie Mable Kayser in Bartlesville, OK. Bonnie died on September 16, 2020 in Dallas, Tx with her daughter Patricia at her side.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband Cary Carpenter, her daughter Linda Lee Sanders, and her brothers Marion and Glen, sister Dalpha, her grandson Larry and great-granddaughter Andrea.
She is survived by two daughters, Bobby LaVon White and Patricia Ann Powell. Her grandchildren are Susan, Michael, Stephen and Bonnie. The great-grandchildren are Natalie, Amanda, Nicholas, Jessica, Otto, Brison, Brent and Brandon. Her great-great-grandchildren are Sydney, Julia, Cole, Michael, Brooklyn, Kaylynn, Madilyn, Aspen and Eli.
Bonnie was known for her quick wit, strong will, humor, love for animals, and her ability to survive difficult situations in life. In addition, she wrote poetry and kept a journal of the events in her life.
While in the ER after breaking her arm, she told the nurse, "I love to go to the Kingdom Hall and enjoy my spiritual family and then afterwards have a Hi-Ball now and then." Perhaps that illustrates the balance she had in life.
Bonnie's place of internment will be at Waco Memorial Park alongside her beloved husband Cary who she spoiled and cared for greatly until the end of his life.
First and foremost, Bonnie was a minister of Jehovah's Witnesses. She loved God's word the Holy Scriptures. Bonnie was baptized in 1944 and continued faithful to that ministry in the Dallas, Kilgore, and Waco areas right to the end of her life. Bonnie was a deep student of the Bible and helped many to learn about the comforting future that our Creator promises.
One of her cherished beliefs was the resurrection of the dead back to life in the restored paradise earth. That is Bonnie's hope for the future and the hope that her family shares with her. We will see her again just as the photo above in her youthful days. – (Job 14:13-15; John 5:28, 29)

Subject: Re: Gracie Pearl HadleyHi John,
I assure you her name was Gracie. Multiple census show her as Gracie, included some you sent me. I do know many, many people who use nicknames, and she did go by Pearl only because she thought Gracie sounded like a little kid.
Her mother filled out our bible. I knew Stella also. She lived with Grandma. There have been thorough conversations in my family and we know without our a doubt her real name was Gracie.
As you know, sometimes even official documents are wrong.
Next time I’m working on documents I’ll see if I got other things to share with you. I inherited 3 huge tubs of photos, documents and heirlooms from that side of the tree. Every single thing I have says Gracie Pearl.
My cousin still alive from my mom’s generation agrees, as do my aunt, and my father. My father bought her house when she passed and did all her paperwork on death. Heck, his dog was even named for her. 😂 If you’ll notice many of your find a grave source are mine. Leslie Postin. Again, thanks so much, but I know for an ironclad fact her name was Gracie.
Thanks!
Leslie

Hi! Gracie Pearl was my great grandma. I have documentation, including family bible that lists her name as Gracie Pearl. I appreciate you taking time to make a suggestion, but the record you are referring to is wrong.
Thanks you,
Leslie

Mrs. Glenn Ratcliff of this city is his sister. Prior to coming to Lewistown in 1930, Mr. Hadley and his family had resided in Casey, Illinois, where he was employed as a clerk for the railroad for a number of years. On coming to Lewistown, he became manager of the Lewistown Super Service station, which business later was sold. For a short time he was employed in the local office of the C.B. and Q. Railroad and then became associated with his wife in conducting the Smartwear Shop, where he made many friends. He was a member of the Christian Church at Brazil, Indiana, the Masonic Lodge at Greenup, Illinois, and the Independent Order of Foresters

The article below indicates the SS Tuscania was torpedoed on 5 Feb 1918 and this matches his death date.WIKIPEDIA:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/100th_Aero_Squadron
The 100th Aero Squadron was a Air Service, United States Army squadron during World War I. Ordered to serve on the Western Front, it boarded the SS Tuscania on 23 January 1918. The ship was torpedoed on 5 February and most of the survivors were rescued.Re-formed in England the squadron was assigned as a Day Bombardment Squadron; its mission to perform long-range bombing attacks on roads and railroads; destruction of materiel and massed troop formations behind enemy lines.[3] It was assigned to the 2d Day Bombardment Group, United States Second Army.
Just before its first scheduled combat mission, the war ended. After the 1918 Armistice with Germany, the squadron returned to the United States in June 1919 and was demobilized.[1][4]
The squadron was never reactivated and there is no current United States Air Force or Air National Guard successor unit.
