Thomas, who was known as "Wayne" died of a stroke.

Thomas was an oli field worker in PA when he was young.  Then he
worked for almost 30 years for Dresser/Clarke in Olean, NY.  He quit school in
the 8th grade to work construction to help support his family.  Briefly he
trucked vegtables and fruit from the south east to Buffalo, NY, and this is
when he met his future wife.
!Donibel Sherril is the daughter of a Methodist Preacher in Mobile, Alabama.
Her family lived other places in the south.  After they married they continued
to fight the civil war (the war between the States) in a good natured way for
over 50 years.
Thomas was a voracious reader and taught himself many things.  He had a good
knowledge of Herbal medicine and "Put no truck" in "Modern Doctors."  He had a
stroke at home and against his wishes was placed on life support in the
hospital for a week before the few holdouts of the family were finally able to
let go and allowed him to pass away.  His funeral had to be moved to a larger
church since almost the entire town of Eldred showed up.

Erma Donibel Sherrel

Information from Donibel, as she uses her second name, per letter 10 Jul. 1995.
