Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 23 at Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation Service in Perham. Pastor Rod Tornqust will officiate. Private interment will be in the Richville Village Cemetery, Richville, MN.Lloyd Kurt Scheiding, Jr. was born in Bagley, MN on August 5, 1951, the son of Lloyd K. Scheiding, Sr. and Myrtle A. (Wells) Scheiding. Lloyd was a Vietnam veteran. He served nine years in the Army and was honorably discharged. After his service, Lloyd worked for the Otter Tail Valley Railroad as an engineer for almost 30 years. He moved to Humbolt, TN in 2012 where he resided until his death.Sonny loved keeping up his vegetable and flower gardens. His favorite flower was the rose. He built model ships, worked with wood, tinkered with cars and engines, and loved astronomy, wildlife and the outdoors.Surviving Sonny is his son Brian (Audrey) Scheiding; his daughter Melissa Scheiding-Senior; his brothers Wayne (Elizabeth) Scheiding and John (Susan) Scheiding; his sisters Judy (Bob) Cole, Mary (Randall) Long and Margaret (Paul) Greenwood; his grandchildren Cody Jaeger and Brandon Jaeger; his great-grandson Brantley; along with numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.Preceding Sonny in death were his parents; his sisters Bonnie Jean, Linda Whitney and Dorothy Hunter; and his grandchildren Joshua Mortenson and Ashley Venzke.*Obituary and photo posted on Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation Service website.

Leonard Carpenter Jr.CENTERVILLE, IOWA — Leonard Foster Carpenter Jr, age 72, of Centerville, passed away October 17, 2015 at the VA Center of Iowa Hospital and Clinic in Iowa City.
He was born December 3, 1942 to Leonard F. Sr and Mabel Jean Carpenter in Elmira, New York. He attended high school in Holiday, Pennsylvania. On July 10, 1964, he married Beverly Gilbert in Texas City, Texas.
He worked for Fisk Electric and Major Electric before starting his own business, Allied All Electric. In 2005 he started another business, Action Electric and brought his company to Iowa. Leonard was an active minister as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses since November of 1977. He loved teaching Bible truth’s, eating good food, fishing, and electrical work.Leonard served as an Elder in the Centerville Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He loved the various opportunities he received in aiding others through relief work, the building of printing facilities in both the United States and Africa, as well as convention centers in Texas and Florida.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Beverly Carpenter; daughter, Carol (Jubal) Beck of Centerville; a son, Michael (Kim) Carpenter of Porter, TX; 2 grandchildren, Nichole (Kevin) Murff of New York, NY, and Braden Carpenter of Centerville; 2 brothers, Dean (Loretta) Carpenter of New York and Charles “Chuck” (Cindy) Carpenter of Texas, and 2 sisters, Marcia Dickinson, and Anita (Phillip) Hummer.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard F. Sr., and Mabel Carpenter.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 2015, at the Kingdom Hall located at 20980 Highway T-14 in Centerville, Iowa with Kevin Murff officiating.Tharp Funeral Home 641-932-3129

Richard J. "Dick" Carpenter, 65, was called to his heavely home on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013.Born May 15, 1948, Richard was predeceased by parents, Robert W. Sr. and Shirley Carpenter.
He is survived by sons Logan R. Carpenter of North Carolina and James Carpenter of Waverly; sister, Sharon Mull; brother, Robert W., Jr. and wife Joyce Carpenter; and his extended family: Edna Painter, the love of his life, with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; special dog Princess, a devoted friend; several nieces and nephews.
Dick loved music and was an accomplished drummer and played with several local bands from the area.
Friends and family will be received at the Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee Street, Montour Falls, N.Y., on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, from 2 to 4 p.m. with a dinner to follow at the Beaver Dams United Methodist Church. Burial will take place at the Hammond Cemetery in Middlebury Center, Tioga, Pa.
