Deceased Name: Dale A. Carpenter, 71
International Falls resident Dale Arthur Carpenter, 71, died Tuesday, April 2, 2002, at Falls Memorial Hospital.Born Sept. 25, 1930, at Longville, Minn., he was a lifelong resident of the Falls.
He served in the Korean War and had received a bachelor of science degree in Industrial Technology and Business from Bemidji State University.
On June 16, 1956, he married the former Barbara Miller in the Falls.
He was employed in the process control department at Boise Cascade, retiring in 1992 as a maintenance supervisor.
He loved to golf, hunt, fish and curl, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Elks Club, Faith United Church of Christ, Fort Frances Curling Club and Falls Country Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Alice (Zink) Carpenter.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Carpenter of the Falls; one daughter, Cynthia Carpenter of Dallas, Texas; two sons, Bruce (Sharon) Carpenter of Brooklyn Park, Minn., and Scott (Janice) Carpenter of Wadena, Minn.; one brother; four sisters; and several grandchildren.
Masonic services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, April 4, with Worshipful Brother Ed Jameson officiating.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 5, at Green-Larsen Mortuary.
A funeral with flag presentation is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday, April 6, at Faith United Church of Christ with the Rev. Sue Hamly officiating.
Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.
