Subject: Descendants of William Carpenter...Notes
Hello Mr. Carpenter,
My name is Beth Trapp. I am working on a Budd family tree.
I have information about one of your records —33956 Cleon Leroy Sult and his family.
He was born on 26 Jul 1912 in Wexford County, Michigan. He married Ada Melissa Budd.
Ada Budd was my great aunt. Here is the information I have on them:
Cleon Leroy Sult, born 26 July 1912, in Wexford County, MI. Death date: 15, April 1961. He is buried in Morgan Cemetery, 8156 4 Mile Road, East Leroy, Battle Creek Twp., MI, 49051, Calhoun Co.
Ada Melissa Budd, born 07, April 1916, Calhoun Co., MI. Married to Cleon on 21 June 1934, in La Grange Co., IN. Divorce date: 30 December 1938, in Calhoun Co. She is buried in Bedford Cemetery, 114 Wells Drive., Battle Creek, MI 49017, with her third husband. Her parents are also in that cemetery.
Duane Leroy Sult, born 11 June 1935, in Calhoun Co., Died: 08 February 1991, in Calhoun Co. Buried in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South, 3941 S. Westnedge Ave. Kalamazoo, MI 49008.
Mark Sult, born 10 February 1938.
I am looking for official scanned birth and adoption documents and have contacted a person who has done an extensive Sult family tree. I cannot locate any information on him, as it may be sealed by the State of Michigan —I’m not sure. He was given up for adoption, probably as an infant. The remaining living relatives have no memories that he existed.
I suspect the process of putting him up was one reason why Cleon divorced Ada. The marriage in LaGrange, Indiana, and the Battle Creek, MI, divorce decree are on Ancestry.com .
As for Duane Sult, he was married and had three children. I do not feel right giving the children’s information without asking them first. I will ask in August if they would like information about your tree and show them where they can access what you’ve put on the Internet.
Sincerely,
Beth
Beth Trapp
