DEATH: HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- Bettie J. Hamilton Carpenter, 82, of 7023 Whitesburg Drive, Huntsville, formerly of 5727 Odessa St. Wichita, Kan., died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2001 after a long illness.
She was the retired owner-operator of Hamilton’s Bicycle Store, Wichita, Kan.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Gibson of Huntsville, Ala.; a sister, Maxine Vaught of Wichita, Kan.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the East Troupsburg (N.Y.) Church, the Rev. Julie Calhoun-Bryant officiating. Burial will be in Chenango Cemetery, Troupsburg, N.Y.
Arrangements are by the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, Woodhull, N.Y.
