Corlis Arlene Casto Hunter, age 69, of Marietta, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on May 1, 2023. She was born in Cedar Falls, Iowa on May 4, 1953 to Clarence and Geneva Carpenter. Corlis graduated from Marietta High School in 1971. Corlis enjoyed gardening and everything flowers. She worked many years at John Grimes Devol Greenhouse and later at Dudley's Florist.Corlis is survived by her children Jennifer (Dale) Klemenz of New Lenox, Illinois and Jason (Heather) Casto of Marietta, Ohio, along with her beloved grandchildren Jaslynn and Elle Casto and Elizabeth (Ben) Pintar; and great grandchild Amelia Pintar. One of her greatest joys in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She always looked forward to attending their many sporting events where she was one of their biggest fans.
Corlis loved baking, especially her adored pies. She took great pride in baking her signature butternut cake each birthday for Jason, Jaslynn, and Elle. She cared deeply for her family and the people around her. Her kindness and compassion made an impact on the many lives she touched. She was truly an exceptional Mom and Grammy.
She is also survived by siblings: Phil (Lori) Carpenter, Dan (Sue) Carpenter, and Cheryl (Jay) Robertson, along with many nieces and nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Geneva Carpenter.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 4-8PM at Roberts Funeral Home, 27880 State Route 7, Marietta, OH 45750 . Funeral service will be Friday, May 5th at 11AM. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday (Feb. 18) at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lynch Cemetery. Tony Lee Carpenter, 49, of Parkersburg, WV passed away 7:38 am February 8, 2020 at Eagle Point Nursing Home.He was born February 14, 1970 in Washington County to Ralph and Wilma (Benson) Carpenter. Surviving are sons Tony Carpenter and Luke Carpenter and a daughter Shianne Carpenter all of Marietta. Also surviving are brothers Brian Carpenter and Tim Carpenter and a sister Connie Vaughn along with several nieces and nephews.

Don was the son of the late Viola Baker and George Carpenter.
Don served as a Deputy Sheriff in Forsyth County for 29 years, retiring as Lieutenant in 1995.
He was a member of The Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #8.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Carol Dellinger Carpenter of the home; daughter, Donna Peterson of Kernersville.
