Among the other settlers who came into the town soon after the Revolution were Abel Butler, who was a farmer, James McClane, Jabez Carpenter, G. H. and John Havens, and Joseph Curtis. At a very early day, also, families by the names of Hull, Keeler and Winslow settled southwest of the site of Mineville. William Sherman came to Moriah in 1803 ...
