NOTE:  I list her with two Carpenter spouses. One is wrong.
I believe Arthur M. Carpenter is the correct one and not Arthur Wellington Carpenter.
BUT I beginning to see that there was two Alices.  Both born in WI abt 1874 and the one who married Arthur Wellington Carpenter had parents born in Vermont.

I'm trying to find out information on Alice Cora Wade. The text from her obituary is about all I know. Mrs. Arthur Carpenter passed away it the George Podvin home on Saturday morning, March 13 (1943), at 1:15, following a paralytic stroke, which she had suffered several months ago. Miss Alice Cora Wade was born on January 12, 1874 at Red Granite, Wis. and on May 2, 1891 she was married to Arthur Carpenter. In 1901 they came to the Stanley Country, where they have since made their home. Eleven children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Carpenter. Surviving are her husband, two daughters and two sons as follows: Mrs. Hattie Dugan of Milwaukee; Abbie (Mrs. Adolph Wald) of this city; Wilbert of Buffalo, New York; and Curtiss. Also surviving are two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Lottie Scott of Chippewa Falls; Mrs. Harriet Brindy, Fred Wade and Harry Wade of Madison; and 34 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. The funeral was held on Monday afternoon at two o'clock at the Brethren Church, Rev. Lewis Hyde officiating. The following were pall bearers: Jacob Winkler, Jay Henderson, George Van Buren, William Flora, Noah Mock and Tom Mitchell. Among the out of town people who were here for the funeral were- Fred and Harry Wade of Madison, Mrs. Hattie Dugan of Milwaukee, Wilbert Carpenter of Buffalo, N. Y. and George Schunk of Ypsilanti, Mich.
