W. J. Carpenter of 321 Summit Ave. died Sunday (July 4) at Sacred Heart Hospital after 6 weeks illness. Age 65. Served as manager of the Cutter Shoe Co. for about 30 years and joined the employ of Gillette Rubber co. when the shoe firm closed several years ago. Survived by his widow and a daughter Mrs. Virginia (Oscar) Ellertson of Minneapolis. Funeral from the Masonic Temple, interment in Forest Hill cemetery.
