Original data: Aldrich, Lewis Cass.. History of Ontario County, New York : with illustrations and family sketches of some of the prominent men and families. Syracuse, N.Y.: D. Jonathan Culver came in 1801; Increase Carpenter in 1808 ; Roswell Murray in 1810; as also did Stephen Ellis and Elston Hunt. Murray's wife was sister to Brigham Young, the Morman leader.

In the northwest part of the town is located the railroad station and post-village called Fisher's, and so named in honor of Charles Fisher, who settled here in 1817.

I hope this is what you are looking for John. I hope I was of some help to
you. I would like ordinance info on The Carpenter's down to Anna Carpenter,
and then through the Maria Wood line listed above. I'am not asking for much
Ha! Ha!. Really John, send whatever would be the most easiest for you and I
can sort it out myself, that is the least that I could do. You have been such
a tremendous help to me. I am ETERNALLY grateful for all you're help, so are
my ancestors. If you like I could send you my GEDCOM also, but I think it
would probably be more than what you are looking for.
Thank you so much!!!!
Laura Weaver.

John,
Thanks again for your prompt response.
...
I will contact Laura Weaver as she is clearly my cousin through Maria Wood & Joseph Lee Robinson. We also share their son, Oliver Lee Robinson, as an ancestor.
My line is through Oliver Lee Robinson's first wife, Lucy Maria Miller (1837-1877.) Their son Loren Jay Robinson (1859-1942) marries Sarah Elizabeth Richards (1862-1925). Their daughter, Rhoda Richards Robinson (1882-1949) is my grandmother. She marries my grandfather, Joseph Peterson (1878-1935.) Rhoda and Joseph Peterson left Utah a few years after my dad was born in 1910.
I’m very impressed by your DRAFT document. Shows a lot of hard work.

Subject: Re: DNA match for a descendant of Increase Carpenter
Hi, John. I appreciate the depth of thought that you undertake to help me understand.
Starting with A, Increase C-3622 is supposedly the father of Luke. Luke supposedly married an obscure woman named Lanah Rhymes/Rhynes. Their daughter was supposedly Ann/Anna who married my 3rd great-grandfather, Zephaniah Wood. Their daughter Maria married my 2nd great-grandfather, Joseph Lee Robinson.
I am certain that Zephaniah Wood, Maria Wood, and Joseph Lee Robinson are my ancestors. I am not certain of the others because of the complete lack of evidence of relationships. I am concerned that Luke may not be the son of Increase C-3622, And I am further concerned that Ann/Anna may not be Luke’s daughter.
I ask myself why did Luke leave Long Island? No other sibling seems to have done so. In the Tax Assessment Rolls of 1799 and 1800 for Pittstown, Rensselaer County, show several other Carpenters who I cannot identify.
The 1790, 1800, and 1810 census records reasonably support Luke’s family, but the only name we know from those records is Luke’s.
Have I covered A in a manner that you had anticipated?
Scott
NOTE:
Died in WI per records, but buried in Hoosick, NY? Buried in the Carpenter
Burial Grounds on Eagle Bridge Road. - No evidence of him going to WI.
Did he possibly remarry to a Elizabeth Hog (Hoy)? - No evidence found. This Family & Descendancy line submitted, updated and corrected by Betty Thomas

Timothy (Wood) … and was born on the homestead Dec 29, 1776. He married Dolly, daughter of Michael Carpenter, of Goshen, who was born Feb. 22, 1781 and died 1864. He died in 1846. Their children were …
Their children were Matilda, born Dec. 15, 1804, was the wife of Stephen Smith, of Goshen, and died Jan. 28, 1881; Richard L., born Sept. 3, 1806; William C., born April 26, 1810, was a farmer on the Florida road, in Goshen, and died in 1840, leaving an only son, James J. Wood, a silversmith, of Brooklyn, N. Y.; Sarah Jane, born March 11, 1814 ( never married), and died Feb. 19, 1879 ; and Gabriel S., born Nov. 27, 1818, was a farmer, and died in the town of Mount Hope, Orange Co., June, 1876, leaving two daughters and one son.
Timothy Wood resided on the homestead after his marriage, about 1803, until 1831, when be purchased a farm on the Florida road from Goshen, upon which his son William C. afterwards resided.
In 1833 he purchased two hundred and twelve acres about one mile northwest of Goshen village, upon which he resided the remainder of his life, and which was inherited at his death by Richard L. and Gabriel S., his sons.
The latter disposed of his part of this farm, which is now owned by Mr. Everett.
Both Timothy Wood and his wife were devoted members of the Presbyterian Church at Goshen, as also his father, Richard Wood, had been. Richard L., son of Timothy Wood, is the only surviving child, and resides upon a part of the home-stead where his father died.
He was born on the old homestead where three generations before him lived, and where his great-grandfather, the progenitor of the family in Orange County, first settled.
In 1851 he built his present residence, and later, commodious barns, all of which, with the order of his whole farm of one hundred and thirteen acres, show the care of a thorough-going and thrifty fanner.
Mr. Wood has been industrious, prudent, and up-right, and as such is known by all his fellow-men. Like his ancestors before him, he has led a quiet, unostentatious life, and strictly followed agricultural pursuits. He was never married.
Never married.
He left two daughter and one son.
